Why he needs rescuing: Where to start? Lang has presence to burn, but watching him have to speak 'Terra Nova's' predictable, often leaden dialogue is almost painful. A show about his character's Herculean (and sometimes devious) methods of leading a colony in a pristine but dangerous world could be cool, but by focusing on the Shannon family and spurning it potential complexity, the Fox drama has left Lang with little of interest to do.
