Proof of Poultry: Some shows are meandering, some shows feature paper-thin characters, some shows are derivative and pale imitations of better forebears. 'Hell on Wheels' is almost impressive for being all of those things. Well, we might have been impressed by the sheer breadth of its blah-ness, had we not fallen asleep.
