George Christopher, 'Bored to Death'
HBO
George Christopher, the erudite magazine publisher-turned-stoner restaurateur, may ultimately be remembered as the most complete TV character Ted Danson has ever played. The fun-loving cad drinks and smokes his way through nearly every 'Bored to Death' episode, constantly searching for meaning in his life and good times with his friends Jonathan (Jason Schwartzman) and Ray (Zach Galifianakis). Christopher serves as the detective-comedy's elder statesman, and when he's not in a miscievious mood, specializes in dispensing whimsical wisdom to his younger compatriots and the audience.
