"A Man Without Honor" made me so many kinds of happy that, in the depths of my geeky heart, there was a 15-year-old girl dancing some kind of faux medieval jig. If Game of Thrones continues in this vein, the show may actually overcome its reputation as a gratuitous-gore-and-sex fest and become one of HBO's all-time greatest shows. In short, this episode was just fantastic.

Even more fun, so little was from the books that I ended up being shocked by some of the plot twists. Suspense! Love it!

All the actors reach a new level of awesomeness in this episode -- especially Lena Headey who humanizes the villainous Cersei wonderfully. She even has a private moment of brother-sister comradeship with Tyrion, who in the books she simply loathes as the demon who killed her mother. Here, Cersei is a fascinating composite of human strengths and flaws: she loves her children absolutely, but feels deep guilt for Joffrey's psychosis. She is scarred by the indifference of her husband the king, who she married very young. And in a moment of extreme candor, she provides what passes for gentle guidance in Game of Thrones-land to the terror-stricken Sansa. (In brief: "Giving birth hurts like hell, and your husband will always be evil, but royal motherhood is amazing!") It is suddenly not so easy to hate Cersei. (At least we'll always have the whore-beating, randomly-beheading Joffrey!)

This episode also resolved something that was driving me crazy: the idea that Tywin Lannister, one of the greatest strategists of his day, would not be suspicious of a girl on the run who happens to be educated and about the right age to be the missing Arya Stark. So my delight was extreme when it turned out that he had known all along. The dynamic between these two, which is developing distinct father-daughter overtones, is mind-blowing to me as a reader: in the books, there is no one more evil and disgusting than Tywin Lannister. And he is still evil... and yet. He is so much more here: a proud, distinguished man who likes a little girl with wit and spunk even when she's a child of the enemy. He seems to want to take her under his wing. I have no idea how this is going to develop, since in the books nothing like it happens at all, and as a plot thread it is delighting me to no end. Of course, this being Game of Thrones, there's no way that it can end with a happy father and daughter romping through the sunlit grasses of Central Park. I'm pretty sure they don't even have anything like Central Park in King's Landing -- just gardens where Varys and Littlefinger spy on people.

When it comes to making unlikeable characters likeable, Jaime Lannister goes through the reverse process -- here he does something unconscionable in killing a young cousin in order to escape. At this point I trust the Game of Thrones writers that they had good reason for this development, and look forward to seeing where they take his character.

With the exception of the extended (and eye-rollingly obvious) verbal foreplay between Jon Snow and the wildling Ygritte, and Theon's descent into crazy, this episode largely consists of conversations that add fascinating new dimension to the characters and plot. Unusually for this show, no one gets naked or horribly killed during these conversations -- there is simply pure and beautifully written character interaction.

Please HBO, may we have some more?

You think MTV's "Teen Moms" are troubled? Meet Kandice, a 23-year-old mom of two who got pregnant again from a one-night stand and is deciding whether or not to give the baby up for adoption. The former prostitute, escort and drug addict has been clean for over four years, but TLC's new one-hour special "Birth Moms" (premieres Thurs., May 17, 10 p.m. ET) caught her falling off the wagon -- big time.

In our exclusive sneak peek, we see Kandice, angry that a police officer took away her driver's license after she was caught shoplifting ... but she gets even angrier when the waitress at a Mexican restaurant cards her for ordering a strawberry-banana margarita (not a virgin margarita) and she can't produce ID.

Kandice calls the cop and, somehow, someway, convinces him to bring her license to her at the restaurant. While waiting for him to show up (he does), she says wine won't do after a day like this -- she needs tequila! Then she proceeds to smoke a cigarette.

"I've been wanting to drink for how long?" Kandice fumes. "I came here to have a drink. Not for the food -- I wanted liquor!"

What makes this scene even more sickening? She's with two other pregnant girls who do little to stop her. Watch the clip above to see for yourself.

An official description of his special from TLC:
"Birth Moms": This one-hour special focuses on the lives of three pregnant young women living at an adoption center in Utah while struggling with the decision about whether or not to put their babies up for adoption. Tensions run high as this diverse group of women from around the country interact with each other during this tumultuous time. Follow these troubled mothers-to-be on their journey to childbirth while witnessing face-to-face meetings with prospective adoptive parents who desperately want a child, and the gut wrenching moment when each birth mom must finally decides if she will give her baby up for adoption.

Tell us: Are you horrified by Kandice's behavior?

"Birth Moms" premieres Thurs., May 17 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

The Season 3 finale of "The Good Wife" left viewers with more than one burning question about what's to come in Season 4.

What will happen to gun-toting Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) -- and her husband? Will Peter (Chris Noth) and Alicia (Julianna Margulies) get back together? How will Cary's (Matt Czuchry) relationship with the other characters change now that he rejoined Lockhart/Gardner.

The Huffington Post caught up with Noth and Czuchry at the Gersh Agency's upfront party in New York to find out the answers some of these questions.

Noth doesn't have much hope for Peter and Alicia. When asked if his character would get involved with Alicia again, he admitted, "Probably not."

The actor also enjoyed having "Friends" alum Matthew Perry as a political archenemy, Mike Kresteva. "He's a good actor. It's like working with any good actor. Easy, fun. I hope he comes back. He makes a great nemesis," Noth said.

Perry told TVLine that his "hope" is to come back, but that might be difficult considering Perry now has his own series, NBC's "Go On," to film.

Meanwhile, Czuchry's Cary Agos is back at Lockhart/Gardner, away from the gubernatorial campaign drama.

"What's great now that Cary's back at the firm is that there's access to all of the those relationships again," he said. "In the past we've seen Cary and Alicia as competitors, and we'll now see them as collaborators. We've seen a complicated romance develop between Kalinda and Cary so that can further, and what we didn't have in the [last] season is this tension between Will [Josh Charles] and Cary. Each of those aspects are a little bit easier to get to now that they're back at the firm."

As for his small screen past, The Huffington Post had to ask if he'd seen much of recent "Mad Men" guest star Alexis Bledel, who he co-starred with on "Gilmore Girls."

"I've been watching her from afar, but I haven't talked to her personally," Czuchy admitted. "[The last time I saw her] was probably at the wrap party for 'Gilmore Girls,' which was about five years ago now. But everything about that show -- all the work that we did together -- it'll be there forever."

"The Good Wife" will return to CBS in the fall to its regular 9 p.m. ET timeslot on Sundays.

Check out photos from more new CBS shows below:
<HH--236SLIDEEXPAND--226370--HH>

I really really REALLY wanted to like Smash.

How could I not? My creative start was as a theatrical lighting designer, so anything that suggests "backstage" makes me as goofy as a 4-year-old with a brand new Tickle Me Elmo. I even giggle sometimes. It's pretty embarrassing.

So let me say it again, just so we're clear. I honest to God wanted to like Smash. But an entire season of overwrought & implausible episodes later, I watched helplessly as my beloved Elmo turned into Chucky. And then set the place on fire.

There's been enough hate-watching bile spewed about how Smash failed to live up to it's towering expectations (Spielberg! McPhee! Messing! Broadway! Shiny Pretty People singing and dancing!), so I won't pile on. I'll just say that I'm hugely disappointed.

Ok, That's an outright lie. I'm fucking pissed off.

On Monday nights when I stopped screaming at the television ("Seriously? SERIOUSLY!?!") I'd vent on Facebook with my former MFA classmates. All of us hated the show. But we couldn't stop watching it. Maybe theater people are idealists to the bitter end.

Or maybe it's because the show started out with such potential. It even danced around the edges of deeper themes with a few quasi-self-referential nods to the conflict between art and commerce. The musical numbers were good. The characters hinted at depth and teased a glimpse of chemistry with the promise of back-story. And the acting was even decent (that is, until everyone started sleeping with each other and singing Karaoke).

But the opportunity to engage a mainstream audience in something more profound than reality TV is what made me hopeful for Smash in the first place. It was exciting to think that a network show might actually encourage the TheaterCurious to cast off mass-produced and manufactured celluloid drama in favor of watching a carefully crafted labor of love come to life on "stage". Color me naïve. That was never going to happen.

Instead, theater as an art form got roundly bitchslapped. Rather than pull back the curtain to reveal the magic of creation, Smash's "play within a play" conceit transformed a creative process into nothing more than a string of "Watch What Happens" bumpers. I'd bet my MFA that the "Broadway show" plot was always meant to play the dumb trophy wife to some network executive's bullshit notion of The Theater. And why? Because focus group data suggested that people who watch TV are stupid, lazy, and art-less. But we all know better.

To make matters worse, audiences suffered constant whiplash as NBC alternately denigrated, romanticized or threw Art (with a capital A) under the short bus of Nielsen ratings.

In the season one finale alone, we hear this in one scene:

Shallow Director (in 'pissed off' mode): I don't do collaboration! I'm an artist! A Storyteller!

... This in the next:

Stereotyped emo songwriter: Tell me why we do this again?
Stereotyped wise-beyond-his-paygrade-performer: Oh you know. Art.
SES: Art, what? Art is a sick compulsion. Art is an ego gone haywire. Art is...
SWBHPP: Art is beautiful. It brings you joy to write a song. It brings us joy to sing it. Brings an audience joy to hear it. Now get back to work.

And then finally this:

Shallow Director (in 'nice' mode): Art isn't therapy. We're not here to work out our personal problems. We're here to take those problems and completely exploit them, to hell with how much we hurt. Actually, the more we hurt, the better.

No wonder people don't "get" theater.

Let me attempt what NBC failed miserably at this season: being honest. Smash turned the noble pursuit of creative truth into a self-fulfilling prophecy with a weak-ass punch line. As long as networks delight in turning art into soap opera under the banner of entertainment, the almighty dollar will win every single time. Why? Because they don't want you to think there's any alternative.

Let's prove them all wrong.

[Fade to black]

Mick Jagger is hosting "Saturday Night Live" for the very first time this weekend, and based on promos just released, he appears to go all in for the 37th season finale of the NBC comedy show.

The Rolling Stones frontman goofed around with Kristen Wiig, who, if rumors are true, may see this episode as her last "SNL" ever. Wiig lets Jagger know how excited she has been to work with the rock legends -- until she ventures into some areas that Mick maybe would just as soon she didn't remind him about.

"I grew up on you," Wiig tells Jagger to his flattery. "You taught me so much about music. And you taught me so much about using drugs. I mean, so many drugs."

But perhaps that's not exactly the legacy that Jagger wishes to keep. "And I also learned so much about sex," Kristen told him, before rattling off the various sexual acts that Wiig learned from the rock star.

He also revealed that he may be an Australian performance artist who loves kissing kangaroos. We're excited what else "SNL" has in store with the English musician, who has been on the show as the musical guest in the past, but never as the host. He'll be joined by the Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire and Jeff Beck in the episode.

It's been a rollercoaster year for The CW's "Nikita" (Fridays at 8 p.m. ET). Despite a consistently compelling second season, the cerebral action series was considered to be a long shot for renewal right up until last week's announcement of a Season 3 pick-up.

Audiences have seen the show evolve in countless ways since it first premiered, but one of the biggest changes this season involved the expansion of what the cast has dubbed "Team Nikita," originally encompassing the core trio of Nikita (Maggie Q), Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) and Michael (Shane West), who banded together to take down Division, the oppressive black ops agency that trained them. Last year, the odds seemed firmly stacked against our favorite rogue agents, but thanks to the addition of Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford), Sean (Dillon Casey), Ryan (Noah Bean) and occasionally Owen (Devon Sawa), "Nikita's" merry band of rebels has grown into a force to be reckoned with in Season 2.

HuffPost TV caught up with Shane West earlier this week, and he was quick to reassure us that "'Team Nikita' has been put together for a reason" this year, despite the fact that their heartwarming family rapport seems a little too idyllic to last (especially on a show where every character has a target on their back). West did admit that the May 18 season finale would feature "a significant loss," but also insisted that the episode was "probably our best yet."

Read on for HuffPost's exclusive discussion with West about potential plans for Season 3, Michael and Nikita's tumultuous relationship, and which "La Femme Nikita" star he hopes to lure in for a cameo. Caution: Spoilers ahead.

Congratulations on the well-deserved renewal. Have you had any discussions with Craig or Maggie about what the game plan for Season 3 will be and where you might go?
Thank you very much. I think when you see the season finale, it will be enough for the audience to understand what's going to happen ... This is the first [interview] I've had since finding out now we are [picked up]. It's a weird feeling ... The finale of Season 1 and the finale of Season 2 were written, I think, very well in the sense that we wanted to wrap up some storylines and keep things open just in case it wasn't canceled and just in case it was canceled. I think this year, it is such a transition. The finale is going to be open to so many paths and so many storylines that it'll be fair game for Season 3 with whatever we really want to write. I haven't had too many deep conversations with them yet. I'm assuming we may have some this week in New York [at The CW's upfronts presentation for the upcoming TV season on Thursday, May 17]. If not, I'll be having one in a month-and-a-half anyway.

You usually start filming in early July, correct? Do you have time to look at any film projects over hiatus before you go back to work?
Well, there's a couple of indies that I would like to do that look possible. But now, it feels like we need to be going first week of June. I think we were pretty much ready for the middle to the end of June, so I may be S.O.L. in a couple of projects. But that's kind of how it goes when you're on television. You have a very small window. Nowadays, there are very small independents that are being shot and there are giant blockbusters like "Hunger Games." That middle movie in the $15 to $20 million budget has seemed to have disappeared. So, it's more difficult when you're on television to squeeze into a film when you have two months off.

Let's talk about this week's "Nikita" finale. What I've loved about the latter half of Season 2 is that there's been a real family dynamic within the team. It's no longer just Nikita and Alex or Nikita and Michael on the run; you really get the sense that they've created this makeshift family together with Birkhoff and now, Sean and Ryan. Is that something you enjoy, or has the shift proved challenging?
I think what has proved challenging with the group is more of the actual filming process. It's more people in the scene, more coverage, longer hours, things like that. But the positives are much stronger. For me, it's a lot of fun -- Noah [Bean] and Dillon [Casey] are a great addition to the cast and ... everyone seems to be complete opposites from each other. So, it's a great dynamic that is brought in for Team Nikita. I think it'll be very interesting to see how this will work out in Season 3. But I think it's exciting. It scares you when you put a lot of people together, when you build a Justice League or whatever because you worry that one of them has to go.

We've heard that there will be a significant loss in the finale. Is there anything you can hint without spoiling?
I'm not even sure there's a way I can hint. [Laughs.] You know, there is a significant loss. But I can say that there is a loss of more than one that isn't being talked about as much. Some people will miss that character as well. We're storming the castle. You saw in the second-to-last episode with it being "to be continued," where Nikita is now locked into Division and essentially, so is Michael. He's not going anywhere either. You have the rest of the cast up above ground. It can easily be one of the bad guys, but it can be one of the Team Nikita, as I was just talking about. I'm kind of trying to leave all the options open. The way it's done was done very well, in theory; I haven't been able to see it yet. Thanks to the upfronts, I may not actually be seeing the finale when it airs on Friday. But the way it was written-- and then, when I talked to Maggie about it too, who loved it -- the scenes have gone very well and I think that this finale is going to be -- not even just hyping the show -- probably this is our best episode yet.

Percy has been such a fabulous and truly effective adversary over the past two seasons. There's been a lot of focus on Nikita's vendetta against Percy, but in a lot of ways, Michael has just as much motivation to take him down, after what Percy had Kasim do to him and his family. Does Michael have any moments with Percy in the finale that satisfied you from a character perspective?
Actually, no. [Laughs.] Not enough -- but it doesn't mean that I'm upset by that at all. I feel like Michael's had his times and his moments with Percy, even a few more recently in the "Wrath" episode where he tries to get Nikita back. But it's been a bummer for me from an acting perspective in the sense that I didn't get to really work with Xander [Berkeley] as much this year. I only mean that from just being disappointed because it was so much fun working with him in year one. Even though it clearly has to be this way and this is how the storylines should go and this is the way I want it to be, you do kind of miss walking around Division in those suits and acting opposite Xander, who's a wonderful actor. I thank god for the flashbacks because I got to do a few with him and a few with Melinda [Clarke] and actually wear the suit and be in Division again. That was fun.

I love that the show utilizes flashbacks so effectively. The fans seem to love them and it really deepens the relationships and subtext for present-day scenes.
It really helped out. You can just do countless sub-stories and subplots with that and backstories. It's a wonderful thing; as long as no one does anything too radical with their hair, we'll be all right with the flashbacks.

Michael was in a fairly unique position in Division, having trained so many of the recruits. Will those relationships come into play in the finale in any way?
Oh yes, for sure. Without giving too much away, Michael and Nikita are going to be starting the finale off somewhere in the bowels of Division; separated, but both in Division. Consequently, there is going to be a lot of action and fire and a lot of run-ins with Division security, agents, recruits, like everyone. So, there are going to be moments for both Nikita and Michael stepping up vocally to express their feelings and their wishes and their disappointments about how Division is run and what's become of Division. I think that these speeches were very well written. They're pretty classic.

Nikita and Michael have had a fairly tumultuous year. Where do you think they're headed in Season 3?
Well, one of the things I can say is, the fans will be happy to know that they will be together. They are together ending Season 2 and going into Season 3. But sort of like the ending of Season 1, it is open for interpretation. It's ripe with possibilities. There's a lot of things that can happen that can come and pull them apart again. That's something that I think is necessary for a storyline, because it can't just be the perfect couple and there you go. Otherwise, we should have waited to bring them together in Season 6 or 7. They're different; Michael's very conservative and Nikita's very liberal. Without also giving things away, when you see how it ends and what their current destiny is going to be, they're going to have different opinions on how to handle the situation. It's also going to bring back a lot of bad memories; some good memories, but mainly, bad memories for them personally. That'll be something they'll have to learn to deal with as well.

I remember hearing rumblings that if you were renewed, Craig [Silverstein, the show's executive producer] was looking at having Noah Bean join the cast as a regular in Season 3. Michael and Ryan seem to have developed a fairly comfortable working relationship, judging by "Dead Drop," so I'm assuming that Michael doesn't see him as a rival for Nikita's affections?
I get in trouble every time I answer this. [Laughs.] I don't think -- and this is just me; Maggie can say whatever she likes, Craig can say whatever he likes -- but I really don't think Michael's that jealous of a person. Not meaning he's uber-confident. But in the over-the-top situations that these agents have in this world that's been created, knowing so much about Nikita's background -- I think he's pretty confident that Nikita is in love with him. He is now confident about that, and vice versa. I mean, he dropped his life in Division, he left Percy and everything to be with her. Because that's such a dramatic change for his life, I don't see him going for someone else. Some truly tragic things have to happen to I think really break them up. That could happen. It would probably happen on Nikita's side more than it would Michael's because of Nikita's storied past and her issues with men in general. Michael was fine with his wife and his kid, like, he would have been fine forever that way [without cheating]. I mean, I sense that he could have been jealous of Owen's [Devon Sawa] character. But I didn't take it that route once they wrote in the fact that Owen had killed Nikita's love. At that point, I wouldn't be, Shane wouldn't be jealous, and I wouldn't think Michael would be either, because if she went for someone that killed one of the loves of her life then that's pretty warped.

I think Ryan's a little bit more dangerous because he's an unknown. He's more of an analyst; he's not a fighter, he's more the brains instead of the brawn. I can sense if they're separated, a bit of jealousy coming out. But I don't think naturally it will happen with Michael. I think he's more amused or intrigued. Then, I think it'll depend on what scripts they write, clearly. If Michael disappears for six episodes and it's Ryan and Nikita for six straight episodes, yeah, Michael will probably be [bothered by that].

What I appreciate about Nikita and Michael's relationship is that it really does seem solid. Nikita's issues are tied to her backstory and her own insecurities, but both of them, as a couple, seem to accept each other for who they are, regardless of the terrible, traumatic things they've been through. I think it's one of the biggest strengths of the series, that unconditional love.
Thank you. I think they're two peas from the same pod, really -- different original backgrounds, but with so much darkness in their life that they are the light of each other's life and lives. I'm glad you said that, and I feel like the audience has been able to witness that too, especially with their creations of Mikita and Shaggie and things like that ... You could see them with other characters for a little bit, but I don't think you'd want to see them separated for too long.

You had some great character beats this season, between Michael's relationship with Nikita and his discovery of Cassandra and Max -- were there any moments or developments you were particularly pleased with?
Season 1, Craig told me everything that he wanted to do with the character of Michael. He actually did it all -- I was surprised and happy. It was great. Everything happened in one year with the team and the family, bringing them together and Michael leaving Division and all that stuff.

In Season 2, I really got nothing for backstory, so, it was a lot of figuring things out from episode to episode. We knew there was going to be a break between Michael and Nikita. But I think almost everyone assumed that it would have been Nikita's fault. But they wrote in the whole Cassandra and Max thing, which kind of put it on Michael's shoulders, which was going against the grain -- another thing that I like about our show. I enjoyed it very much. Helena [Mattsson] is a wonderful person and it was fun to work with her. And with Illarion Unhuryan -- I never really had a son before, so that was great and he was adorable. Clearly because of the fan reaction, it was a tough storyline to get through. Michael's so passionate about his family in the past, his current family, taking care of people, taking care of the recruits and soldiers when he was at Division. Now that he has this son, this is something he can't just walk away from.

When we were able to hide Cassandra and Max and put them in a safe place, I think that was a smart way of writing out the story, of leaving it open if we were ever to venture into it again. That was a lot of fun for me. But it was all a surprise. Then I got a lot more fun things this year. I got to have a rapport with Owen, which no one expected and worked out great. We actually clamored for more episodes, even though it was supposed to be this rivalry. It started to turn into kind of a fun friendship kind of thing. With Noah, it was great because I never really got to work with him as much. So, that was fun in the last three or four episodes. I know the fans love Michael and Birkhoff's rapport. As long as that can continue, I'm always happy there as well. And I got a little bit more in with Lyndsy -- I wish there was more with Michael and Alex this year. This just didn't seem like it was the right time. There'll be a lot more, I'm sure, in the next year now that we're all somewhat of a team.

Is there anything you're still hoping to discover or delve into with Michael next season -- perhaps more of his background with the Navy?
Yeah, I think Navy would be a little interesting. I mean, I'm assuming his background in the Navy was already done in the first year of the Kasim storyline, at least the most interesting part for viewers. But I'd love to see the beginning of Michael in Division. The first couple of years, pre-Nikita, [was] that transitional thing of him being more of a lighthearted soul to becoming this robotic automaton to now, where he's somewhere in between and goes a little back and forth -- at least that's what I've been trying to do. I would love to see some of his missions with other characters.

What I'd love to see, too, is who might have trained Michael. I think that's a great guest star possibility. My idea, which I thought would be a lot of fun so we might as well put it in print, was getting Roy Dupuis, who played Michael in "La Femme Nikita." He's a Montreal actor. I think he mainly stays there, but if he'd at all be interested, that would be kind of fun and great for the franchise as well ... That's what I'd love. But from a background perspective, maybe Michael's last name, maybe where Michael might have lived at some point, those little things. I guess for the future it would just be, for Season 3 -- that aren't flashbacks -- it would be great to see how the relationships develop and how deep they can become or how much deeper they can become.

What else can you tease about the finale to really whet the audience's appetite?
Well, we have a major death happening. We also have another death happening. It'll be a double surprise, one more surprising than the other. I think they're both done and handled very well. Fortunately, and here's a tease, I'm not a part of any of them. I didn't get to have fun with any of that. I won't be involved in those death scenes. My character's still running around and stuck. But with those deaths, with those endings, there's also a new beginning. There's two new beginnings for other characters that are explored. Where there's dark, there is light. You'll see both of those things happening. My god, that's four things already happening! I think with the actual finale there's going to be a great Mikita moment for those fans at the very end of the episode. Team Nikita has been put together for a reason. It's going to lead to a lot of open doors and a lot of possibilities and a lot of problems.

The "Nikita" Season 2 finale airs Friday, May 18 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Who do you think will die in the finale, and where do you think Team Nikita is headed in Season 3? Clarkson told The Huffington Post on the red carpet for the ABC/EW party. Clarkson and country superstar Reba McEntire are both headlining shows on ABC. "Yeah, we're like family. Not label-mates, but network-mates -- it's awesome," she said.

Clarkson's fellow "Duets" mentor Robin Thicke had a more romantic duet in mind.

"My dream duet would have to be my wife," Thicke said about wife, actress Paula Patton. "Any time she wants to put on lingerie, run around and sing with me, I'm ready for it."

Why lingerie? Well, Thicke said, "it makes for a better duet."

Both Thicke and Clarkson are reality singing competition veterans. Fox's "American Idol" launched Clarkson to fame and she appeared as a mentor, along with Thicke, on NBC's "The Voice" this season. But all that experience wasn't that useful, according to Clarkson.

"Honestly, I thought I was going to be way more prepared, but this show is a completely different animal behind the scenes," she said. "It's just -- it's harder. It's a lot more work for all the stars on it because we're performing with two different people, plus we're doing extra things on the show with each other and it's like you're trying to get them through the competition, and thinking strategy because you're trying to make a great artistic show. It's a lot of work."

Thicke said being in the music business was the best preparation.

"I think the thing that prepares [me] for 'Duets' is I've been making music for 20 years and that I love it and it's my life," he said. "We all take the music very seriously, once you've lived it that way, you just take it seriously. And then you also remember how much fun it is to do it. We're having a lot of fun, but we're also trying to make it good, entertaining, television."

Tell us: Are you excited for "Duets"?

See our calendar of all summer premiere dates here

Jennifer Lopez is leaving "American Idol" at the conclusion of the talent show's current season, sources tell E! Online's Marc Malkin exclusively.

J. Lo has been dropping hints in recent weeks that her departure from the show could be on the horizon. Wednesday, in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," she said that, "I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down."

She has served as a judge on the Fox singing competition show for the past two seasons, but J.Lo is now taking on many other projects, including an international concert tour with Enrique Iglesias. The multi-talented entertainer hosted a Latin American singing competition show, "Q'Viva: The Chosen" with her estranged husband Marc Anthony this past TV season. She's also starring in the film "What To Expect When You're Expecting."

J. Lo has been expressing ambivalence about returning to "American Idol" since Season 10. In June of 2011, after her first season, she said to BBC1, "I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it ... I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year and we're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!' I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing."

Of course, "Idol" producers were able to lure Lopez back for Season 11 with a rumored $20 million one-year deal, a considerable raise from her Season 10 contract, which was for $12 million.

A request for comment from Fox was not immediately returned.

Former X Factor USA judge Nicole Scherzinger has wished the reality show's new panel - including Britney Spears and Demi Lovato - "the best of luck".

The Pussy Cat Doll was axed from X Factor USA by Simon Cowell, after the first series failed to meet his expectations. However, Scherzinger insists she holds no grudges.

Speaking at the premiere of Men In Black 3, in which she makes her big screen debut, she said of the new judging panel: "I'm happy for them. I wish them all the best of luck."

Scherzinger arrived in a stunning black dress at the London premiere hand in hand with her boyfriend, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, and made it clear she's on to bigger and better things...

"I grew up doing theatre and working a lot on stage, but this is my first time in front of a big screen, hopefully the first of many," she told us on the blue carpet.

She added that film work is a whole new challenge for her: "It's fricking scary, it's much easier to perform in front of a live audience because you feel their energy, but when you're just filming it's nerve-wracking."

Scherzinger admitted she used an acting coach to help her get into the role of bad girl Lilly Poison in the latest film of the franchise, in which she acts as a sidekick to Flight of the Conchords star Jemaine Clement, who takes on the villainous role of Boris The Animal.

"I worked with my acting coach a lot, I'm not going to tell you all the crazy things she told me to think about while I was being the character and I listened to my music Killer Love and I listened to Led Zeppelin and I kind of got the frame of mind. Music is what inspires me the most," she explained.

She was joined at the premiere by the stars of the film, Will Smith - who opted for a grey suit rather than the expected Men In Black look - as well as Josh Brolin, who plays a young version of Tommy Lee Jones' character Agent K.

Emma Thompson, who plays the head of the Men In Black agency, was also at the sixties-themed gala screening, alongside beautiful up-and-coming British actress Alice Eve, who plays a younger version of Thompson's character, Agent O.

Talking about her apparent penchant for space related films, Eve, who also stars in the forthcoming Star Trek sequel, said: "In Men In Black we went into the past and in Star Trek we went into the future, so the present seems incredibly dull in comparison."

In the film Will Smith travels back to 1969 to save Agent K, the agency and the planet.

Asked what period she would most like to travel back to, Eve pondered: "I would go to the 1790's when they were really wild. There were no rules no boundaries and everyone was crazy."

And finally, just as all the stars had made their way into the Odean cinema Leicester Square and started to dance to the new Men In Black theme tune on the balcony, another superstar rocked up on the blue carpet.

The late arriver was non-other than Mr Jay Z, who swaggered along the carpet signing autographs before heading in to join the party.

PHOTOS: See all the photos from the Men In Black 3 premiere below...
<HH--236SLIDEEXPAND--226845--HH>
