Dragons' Den: Two Million Viewers Can't Be Wrong

Who'd have thought a show about investing would attract millions of viewers each week? Ratings for 'Dragons' Den' hit the two million mark this season, which puts it right up there with 'Hockey Night in Canada'. Season 4 wraps up in December, but the Dragons aren't wasting any time launching the next round: season 5 kicks off in early January. The show's five judges, Arlene Dickinson, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O'Leary, Jim Treliving and W. Brett Wilson, have become some of Canada's most recognized business executives. We sat down with Arlene, Brett and host Dianne Buckner to get the scoop on the goofiest pitches ever, armchair Dragons, and what's in store for season 5....

Inventor of Wine by the Glass Turns Down 'Shark Tank' Deal (VIDEO)

On the season premiere of 'Shark Tank' (Sun., 9PM ET on ABC), James has a "grand slam" invention: wine by the glass. Self-proclaimed "eco-preneur" Kevin O'Leary offers him a deal in exchange for a 51 percent stake in the company. James turns it down and counters with a request for $3 million. "Forget it. Not a chance," Kevin says promptly. Game over. Kevin is shocked but says, "I'll never remember [the deal] again, and I won't care because there's a million opportunities that will come to me tomorrow. This was your moment. When you turn around, it's gone." After James leaves, Kevin tells his fellow entrepreneurs: "The guy needed me to get focused on what really mattered ... He's a dead man walking. Just another deal."...

Medium: Being Mrs. O'Leary's Cow

In "Mrs. O'Leary's Cow," Allison dreams of a plane crash in the opening credits, where, ironically, a pregnant passenger insists that she's "invincible" right before going down to certain death. Only...the plane doesn't crash. And it turns out the pilot is the husband of a missing woman...today. And he saves the plane in the future. Confused yet? I love how, episode after episode, you can see the solution to the central plot issue immediately, only to learn that the problem is much bigger than you thought. We're sure he didn't kill his wife at 10:16 p.m., then at 10:28 p.m., we're sure he did. And the twist - if Allison uses what she knows to help convict the pilot husband, the plane will almost certainly crash, killing hundreds...including the invincible pregnant woman. She does the "right" thing - or does she? I'm still conflicted, and loving how the writers weave these wonderful parenting moments in with the drama. It's like Supernanny, plus crime, plus psychic dreams. It's...

Kevin Bacon Plays Kevin Bacon's Biggest Fan in New Ad

Kevin Bacon is not one of those movie stars that's above doing TV ads for American audiences; he did a really funny "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"-themed ad for Visa in the early '00s and he got repeatedly rejected by Michael Jordan in a Hanes ad. But there, Kevin was playing "famous actor Kevin Bacon." In this new ad for the new Google TV device from Logitech, Bacon takes it one step further, playing Kevin Bacon's biggest fan. If this were just a random actor playing the 'Footloose' star's biggest fan, proudly displaying his needlepoint portraits of Bacon while surrounded by posters of his movies, the ad would be creepy. But because Bacon plays the guy, it feels even more creepy. But, you know what? It's so creepy that it's circled back to being funny again. The ad and more after the jump....

Lost: Meet Kevin Johnson

(S04E08) We're going into a five-week Lost hiatus, and I'm extremely thankful that this wasn't the season finale. "Meet Kevin Johnson" wasn't a bad episode, but I couldn't have waited until 2009 for a follow-up. This episode did have its moments. We learned more about the island's connection to its inhabitants, Michael's time on the mainland, and there was (at least) one death. That should keep us busy for the next month or so, right? ...

Is Kevin Eubanks Leaving 'Tonight Show'?

Sorry, Darius Rucker: The reports stating that Kevin Eubanks would not be returning to 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' just aren't true -- at least for the next couple of months. The infotainment show 'Extra' reported earlier today that Leno's longtime bandleader was leaving the show because he "wanted a change" and was hoping to pursue other opportunities. And while the network confirmed to AOL TV that "Kevin has expressed interest in pursuing personal touring and recording opportunities," he "will be with the show when it returns" on March 1....

Britney and Kevin: Chaotic

That's the official title of the previously mentioned series featuring Britney Spears and husband Kevin Ferdeline, where we'll all be treated to a weekly dose of the couple's courtship, engagement and wedding angst. At only six episodes (thank God), the series premieres next Tuesday, the 17th at 9:00 p.m. EST on UPN....

'Taking Chance' Interview With Kevin Bacon

"We don't have like Kevin Bacon Movie Night, where the family sits around with a big bowl of popcorn and 'Tremors.'" Kevin Bacon is everywhere these days -- but for the man who's the origin of the infamous "Six Degrees" game, what do you expect? His latest project is 'Taking Chance' (premieres Sat., Feb. 21, 8PM on HBO), a Sundance Grand Jury Prize-nominated movie based on a true story. Bacon plays Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, a decorated Desert Storm vet who volunteers to escort the remains of a young Marine, Chance Phelps, back to his hometown to be laid to rest. Bacon chatted with AOL TV about his back-to-back military roles, his advice for Zac Efron, his most random Six Degrees connection ... and the downside to being famous. -- By Maggie Furlong KEVIN BACON Q&A...

Kevin Bacon will be shooting Abraham Lincoln

It looks like more period dramas (such as The Tudors) are headed to pay cable. And this time, "Booth" will not refer to a character on the TV show Bones. Kevin Bacon will be executive-producing The Booths, a period drama about the Booth brothers, the most infamous of which, John Wilkes Booth, went on to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln. It sounds like an interesting project. I do like historical dramas, but I'm always disappointed at their tendency to sacrifice historical accuracy for the sake of drama. Of course, when it's good drama, nobody seems to notice. The nicest thing about being Kevin Bacon, other than being a famous actor, must be that it takes the fewest amount of steps to be in a Kevin Bacon movie for that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game (the total number of steps would be, I believe, zero). One can say with surefire honesty that Kevin Bacon has been in all of Kevin Bacon's movies....

An open letter to Kevin Federline

Dear Kevin, I've recently read on VH1's blog that you were going to be on Celebrity Fit Club. I have a problem with this: you are not a celebrity. Sure VH1 may stretch the definition of "Celebrity," but having a resume that includes backup dancer and being on WWE doesn't suffice. I don't care if you were married to Britney Spears; you're not married to your meal ticket anymore. I've recently Googled pictures of you and boy did you let yourself go. Maybe you should stop drinking beer. You shouldn't be on Celebrity Fit Club, you need to be on The Biggest Loser. Not only does the title fit you better, you need a smack down from Jillian Michaels....

Hear Kevin Federline rap

Britney's hubby Kevin Federline has been slammed in reports recently for not being the doting father he should be. Seems he was spending too much time staying out late and getting his hair braided. Well, the man's been busy preparing to take on the music world, and you can listen to a portion of his song "Y'All Ain't Ready" by clicking here. I guess his hip-hop moniker is K-Fed? Sure, why the hell not? His rap stylings fall somewhere between Vanilla Ice and that time Barney Rubble rapped in a Fruity Pebbles commercial. ...

5 Questions With: Kevin Nealon

"TBS collected all these commercials -- I didn't do any work -- and I just sat back and watched." 'Weeds' star and 'Saturday Night Live' alum Kevin Nealon catches you up on all those commercials you've been fast-forwarding through for years. He and his wife, Susan Yeagley, host 'World's Funniest Commercials' (premiering Tuesday, August 26 at 9PM on TBS), a collection of the best and brightest ads from around the globe. Nealon talked to AOL TV about his favorite TV spot, which of his movies he ranks as funniest, smuggling immigrants and spending time with a serial killer. KEVIN NEALON Q&A...

After decades of declining TV roles, Oscar and Tony winner Kevin Kline has signed on to star in a new show over at HBO. The show was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Auburn ('Proof'), and will be executive produced by Kline, Gavin Polone and Kline's manager, Judy Hofflund....

Kevin Murphy Named 'Caprica' Showrunner

The new 'Caprica' poster tells us "The Future of Humanity Begins with a Choice," and now The Hollywood Reporter reports that future is in the hands of Kevin Murphy. Murphy has been named the day-to-day showrunner of the new sci-fi series and will executive produce along with Ronald D. Moore, David Eick and Jane Epenson.
