Kristin Chenoweth Interview for 'Pushing Daisies'
"When they called my name [for the Emmy nominations], I was just blown away." Kristin Chenoweth is living proof of the old adage good things come in small packages. The petite star sings, dances and acts, and her current role as Olive on ABC's 'Pushing Daisies' (season 2 premieres Wed., Oct. 1, 8 PM EST) has even scored her an Emmy nom. Chenoweth talked to AOL TV about what's in store on her critically acclaimed show, her Presidential voting secret and what she'll be wearing (and who she might be with) come Emmy night.

What to Watch Wednesday, Oct. 1
'Pushing Daisies' (8PM, ABC) 2nd season premiere What's a stressed-out girl to do when she's already got a head full of secrets and then learns yet another bit of juicy scoop that could prove life changing for those around her? Get thee to a nunnery! That's the solution for Olive, who goes off to hang with some nuns when the burden of Ned and Chuck's (and now Aunt Lily's) secrets get to be too much. Meanwhile, back at The Pie Hole, Ned's freaking out about Chuck's need to be independent, Emerson's indulging his love of pop-up books and Chuck goes undercover at a honey-based cosmetics company to find out who killed Betty's Bees' head Bee Girl. Hey, they don't call the show quirky for nothing.

Could Pushing Daisies wind up as a movie?
I don't know about you, but when creator Bryan Fuller talked about concluding all the story threads from Pushing Daisies as a comic book, I was less than enthused. Now, however, I've got renewed hope. No, ABC is not even mentioning bringing Daisies back. They're not even committing to broadcasting the last few episodes. But Kristin Chenoweth thinks Pushing Daisies might be a movie. That's right, the show could/would/should be wrapped up as a movie in her estimation. ...
Pushing Daisies to shove pie down your pie hole
So what's better than a Pushing Daisies star saving you from the deadly embrace of crystal meth? Not much, but the answer to that (and, lets face it, most other questions) is free freakin' pie. ABC really doesn't want you to forget about the whimsical show that was cut short by the writers' strike, so Pushing Daisies is hitting the road. ABC has outfitted an Airstream trailer to look like The Pie Hole, the shop in which most of Daisies' action takes place, and is driving it across the country to give fans free pie. In addition to the delicious confections, the temporary Pie Hole will feature props from the show and plasma TVs on which fans can watch footage from the show. The Pushing Daisies Tour begins this Sunday and makes 10 stops. Follow me after the jump for the full schedule. ...

Pushing Daisies: Bitter Sweets
(S01E08) "Am I your boyfriend?" - Ned "Yes." - Chuck It was announced about two months ago that Molly Shannon would guest star on ABC's Pushing Daisies and the day, err... evening, has come. I've read a lot of comments from fans saying that they were somewhat scared after hearing she would guest star mostly because they thought her acting wasn't good enough for the show. In retrospect, her acting wasn't that great but it wasn't that bad either since Daisies is over the top at times. ...
David Arquette is coming to Pushing Daisies
ABC must love the Cox-Arquette family. The network's fall season will feature Courteney Cox in a three-episode arc of Scrubs, and now David Arquette is set to guest star on an episode of Pushing Daisies. This role marks Arquette's first ABC appearance since he starred in 2007's In Case of Emergency, which was canceled after only twelve episodes. I'll save the character-specific information for after the jump. Arquette will guest star in the fourth episode of Pushing Daisies' second season. While he's definitely an acquired taste, David Arquette seems just odd enough to fit in with the show's unique cast of characters. ...

Comic-Con: Pushing Daisies panel report
This morning marked the Comic-Con premiere of ABC pilot Pushing Daisies. Created by Bryan Fuller and directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, Pushing Daisies is the story of Ned, who has some complicated powers. He can bring people back from the dead by touching them, but only for one minute. He touches them again, and they go back to being dead. If he doesn't, they get to live, but a completely random person will die in their place. The set-up is a little convoluted, but once you see it, it makes sense. ...
Bryan Fuller will return to Heroes (IF Pushing Daisies isn't picked up)
Please, Pushing Daisies fans, please note that I say IF. I even put it in capital letters! There was talk that Bryan Fuller would be asked by Tim Kring to return to Heroes after NBC told Kring to let two other producers on the show, Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb, go. Now Fuller confirms that he will definitely go back to the show if Pushing Daisies isn't picked up after the 13th episode of the series, which will be completed in January. ...

Pushing Daisies: Girth
(S01E05) "Tell Ned I love... his pies." - Olive This Halloween-themed Pushing Daisies episode has been one of my favorites so far this season. We learned more about Ned's past and we discovered who Olive used to be while being entertained by a magical and mysterious storyline that was reminiscent of stories and movies such as Sleepy Hollow. ...
Pushing Daisies: The Fun in Funeral
(S01E03) "You killed someone for me?" - Chuck After watching last week's episode, I was as worried as Joel was/is about Pushing Daisies's future. With such a stellar pilot, it was a given that the subsequent episodes wouldn't be as great but that second episode was a letdown. Narration aside (I'll get to this later on), this week's episode reassured me that PD can survive in its current format. ...
Pushing Daisies: Pigeon
(S01E04) Since my co-reviewer Izzy lives in Canada, she gets to see episodes of certain shows before we get to here in the States. One of those shows is Pushing Daisies, which airs on Tuesdays up there. After she saw "Pigeon" last night, she wrote me asking if this was the first episode that was shot after the now-infamous budget cuts were made. I thought last week's episode was the first under those restrictions, but I can see why Izzy might have thought that this one was made on the cheap. To me, though, the less visual doohickeys there are in a Pushing Daisies, the better. A little bit of snazziness goes a long way with this show, and it leaves more room to actually tell the story. And this week's story was pretty good. ...
Pushing Daisies: Corpsicle
(S01E09) "There is an unpleasant chill in the air." - The Narrator And we have arrived: this week's episode was the last completed-before-the-strike episode of ABC's Pushing Daisies. The quote I put under the picture may not have been the most important one said in the episode (the bombshell quote is a tad too shocking to put up front) but it does highlight the mood and tone of the episode: chilly. "Corpsicle" is not my favorite Pushing Daisies episode but it offered good reveals, some fantastic lines from Emerson and Olive, and it finally gave the aunts (at least one of them) a real purpose in the series. ...
Molly Shannon to appear on Pushing Daisies
Actress/comedian Molly Shannon, best known for her work on NBC's Saturday Night Live, will join ABC's new series Pushing Daisies for a multi-episode arc set to air late this Fall. The series stars Wonderfalls' Lee Pace as man who can revive the dead (and send them back to Heaven or Hell) just by touching them. He uses his power to find out the killers and collect rewards. Small spoilers ahead! ...
ABC cancels Pushing Daisies, and I hate everyone
Look, this isn't my first time at the rodeo. I knew going into this last year, that the chances of a quirky fairy tale about death having long-term success were slim-to-none. I've seen the signs; I've known that this day was going to come. That doesn't mean that I couldn't hope that ABC would decide to keep Pushing Daisies; my favorite new show from last season. I've held out hope, and today, that hope was dashed. What's worse, is I can't even focus all of my anger on ABC; some of it is pointed directly at Daisies creator, Bryan Fuller. I'm trying to be mature and diplomatic about this, but seriously: Bryan Fuller can suck it. ...
