Regis Struggles With Kelly's Valentine's Day Gift (VIDEO)

Regis Philbin gives Kelly Ripa a Valentine's Day balloon, but a defect in the balloon (or Philbin's decided lack of technical expertise) mars the event when it fails to self-inflate on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated)....

Jamie Foxx Sings and Gives Valentine's Advice on 'GMA' (VIDEO)

Jamie Foxx appeared on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC) and changed the lyrics to 'Blame It On the Alcohol' to make it G-rated for a group of kids in attendance, gave Valentine's Day advice and previewed a new song during his interview. Fox changed the lyrics to his Grammy winning song featuring T-Pain by removing references to alcohol, suggested that a personal phone call is better than a text on Valentine's Day, and sang a few bars from a new song written by Justin Timberlake. Watch the video after the jump....

Five boxed sets for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is on a Saturday this year, so why not eschew the whole dinner and a night out routine for a day in from the cold watching TV boxed sets on DVD? What better gift is there than an entire day of laziness catching up on those boxed sets you got for Christmas and have had no time to watch? But choose carefully. No one can take a whole day of Rock of Love or Matlock. Beauty and the Beast: The Complete Series - A tolerable "chick flick" type series, you can probably get away with watching just the first two seasons, before Linda Hamilton left and her character was killed off. And once your significant other gets used to the idea of Ron Perlman in Beast make-up, maybe you can convince her to watch Hellboy with you....

Everybody Hates Chris: Everybody Hates Valentine's Day

The latest episode of Everybody Hates Chris, which centered around Valentine's Day, had several laugh out loud moments and more than made up for last week's episode, which, while still good, could have been better....

Dr. Phil and Jimmy Kimmel Debate If Valentine's Day Is a Good Thing or a Bad Thing (VIDEO)

Jimmy Kimmel tried to engage Dr. Phil McGraw in a serious discussion about Valentine's Day on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), but it doesn't look as if his guest was interested in being serious. Instead, he was sucking up to all the women, as he put it. McGraw suggested that Valentine's Day is a good thing for many men because it can serve as a reminder to them to add some romance to their relationships. Kimmel countered with the mostly forgotten notion that Valentine's Day is supposed to be a give-and-take for both partners. "What do you want, a little heart?" McGraw laughed....

Give a Lost, Grey's, or Ugly Betty valentine

If you're frugal, TV-obsessed, and in a relationship (a winning combination if there ever was one), you might want to check out ABC.com's free Valentine's Day e-cards. You can use your favorite characters from Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, and Lost to express your love for that special someone. Tell your significant other that you're McDreamin' of them, send a post-it note from Henry Grubstick, or impart a creepy--but loving--message from Benjamin Linus. My only complaint is that more ABC shows, like Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, weren't included. Who wouldn't want a valentine from Olive Snook or Clark the driver?...

The Office: Valentine's Day

Love is in bloom at The Office as it is Valentine's Day. We first see Pam (with her new hairdo that makes her look even more attractive than ever) describing what is going on, and then Phyllis gets a huge bouquet of flowers from her boyfriend Bob. We then learn that Michael is set to leave for New York City for a big meeting with other branch managers and Dunder Mifflin's CFO. Plus, he mentions that his boss Jan, with whom he hooked up with a few months before, will be there, and he slyly mentions the fact that it is Valentine's Day. Jim then discusses his plans for the evening--since he broke up with his girlfriend a few weeks back, he's looking to get a few guys together to play some poker. Meanwhile, Dwight gets a box that contains a bobblehead doll of himself. He is absolutely thrilled, and we see Angela, normally very tightly wound, smile. We then learn that office chatterbox Kelly hooked up with Ryan, and she can't stop talking about it to Jim, who seems uncomfortable with the whole situation....

Nick at Nite gets Fran for Nanny Valentine's celebration

How's this for a romantic and funny way to celebrate Valentine's Day: make it a week-long marathon of The Nanny episodes on Nick at Nite. What? That's not red roses, Dove chocolates and champagne to you? The idea of reliving the sitcom fun of the nanny named Fran blowing into the life of theatrical producer Maxwell Sheffield and falling in love with him while taking care of his three children was the stuff of television romance when it aired on CBS from 1993 to 1999. Part The Sound of Music, part schmaltzy broad Jewish shtick, The Nanny was fun stuff. For this marathon, Fran herself, actress Fran Drescher will host the week which Nick has dubbed Valentine Schmalentine....

Law and Order SVU: The Valentines

There's this artist out there named Brandon Bird who has a special place in his heart for everything that is Law and Order. I own his original Law and Order coloring book ("An Adventure to Color!"), which follows Briscoe and Curtis as they seek a murder suspect and then on to the trial. The last page is a word scramble to figure out the verdict: LYTIGU. Funny stuff. Now Brandon has it in for Law and Order: SVU. He has created some Valentines featuring the main characters from that franchise. My favorite is Ice-T, with the saying, "I'm on your tail". You can actually order these things for Valentine's Day. Check 'em out here. In addition, Brandon does a bunch of cool Star Wars drawings, including this Ewok poster that I totally want. He also seems to have a bit of an obsession with James Woods, Christopher Walken (who doesn't?) and Edward Norton. [Via Boing Boing]...

Have a Grey or Desperate Valentine's Day!

This year, Target is selling these boxes of Valentine's Day cards from Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. The Desperate Housewives ones, in particular, are really bad. The jokes just aren't clever. For example, one card has a picture of all the characters in a laundromat and says, "It's Valentine's Day and you're HOT!" ... "Enough laundry already! Go have some fun!" The Grey's Anatomy ones are slightly better. The most depressing/funny one has a picture of Meredith and Cristina on the front with a message that says: "Not my idea of a perfect Valentine's Day"... "But at least we have each other." How sad! The writers avoided any references to surgery and hearts. Opportunity missed, I say! There is supposedly a box of valentines based on The Office, too. This website has a photo and description, but the link to Target is broken and I can't find it on the site. If they do exist, they sound pretty awesome. One directly quotes Dwight about love. It says, "Women are like wolves. If you want a wolf, you have...

Bobby Valentine joins ESPN's Baseball Tonight

Happy Valentine's Day, ESPN! Did you hear the news about one of the smartest guys in Major League Baseball ever? Bobby Valentine is joining ESPN's Baseball Tonight as an analyst. How do I know that Bobby's so smart? He told me so. Me and every other sports fan in the New York metropolitan area when he was there as the New York Mets manager. Seriously, though, Bobby V. is a very, very savvy baseball man. He was a player, a coach and a manager. He was the Mets manager during their last foray into the World Series. Remember the Subway Series, Yankees vs. Mets?...

'Modern Family' - 'My Funky Valentine' Recap

(S01E15) The myriad relationships and characters in 'Modern Family' make it the perfect show to spotlight all the difficulties one can face in love and romance. As Valentine's Day descends on our cast of characters, they each explore new ways to express how much they care about one another, and they each find challenges along the way. Jay takes Gloria out for a romantic evening, though it's not the one she expects. Mitchell and Cameron, who've agreed to watch Manny for the evening, wind up helping him express his true feelings to the girl he pines for, after another boy took credit for his poetry and scored a date with her....

'Grey's Anatomy' - 'Valentine's Day Massacre' Recap

(S06E14) It's Valentine's Day on 'Grey's Anatomy' and to celebrate, we have a restaurant roof collapse. The show claims to have the biggest surgery ever, which turns out to be an arm reattachment, with the arm temporarily being attached to a leg. While it's interesting and I'm sure a rare surgery, it still doesn't compare to separating conjoined twins or being impaled to a car in my book. While everyone struggles with the multiple surgeries, miraculously, both Arizona and Callie have time to dilly-dally. Arizona tries her hand in playing Cupid on Valentine's, pairing up Bailey with Dr. Warren. Callie gets to check up on Sloan with her free time. What happened to the Callie who used to snap arms back into place?...
