Abby is a bright and ambitious producer of a popular regional television sports program. She has just dumped her charming but self-absorbed boyfriend, Will, but because they share a fabulous rent-controlled San Francisco apartment, they uneasily agree to remain platonic roommates. Consoling and cajoling Abby back into the singles scene is her flirtatious sister, Jo, and her best friend and ally on ``West Coast Sports Report,'' Max, who not-so-secretly harbors a serious crush on her. Abby's life is further complicated by her well-meaning but chauvinistic boss, Roger.
