Who better to take on the task of finding the most delectable, mouthwatering, ingenious American sandwich than ``Man v. Food'' master muncher Adam Richman? His quest to locate the best thing since sliced bread on sliced bread first took him across the U.S. to sample countless sandwich variations, after which he chose 30 from 10 geographical regions to be contenders in the competition. In each half-hour episode, Richman judges the three best sandwiches per region, using his own BITE scale (B for Bread, I for Interior, T for Taste, E for Eating Experience). The regional winners move on to the hourlong finale, to face one another and two secret wildcards in a bracket-style tournament, until one delicious deli delight comes out on top.
