SHOW DESCRIPTION

``Around the World in 80 Plates'' can be described as a culinary version of ``The Amazing Race.'' The competition series features 12 chefs who travel to 10 different countries, where they learn about the local customs, cultures and cuisines as they do battle as teams in two cooking challenges each week that test their skills and determination. The losing team each week chooses one chef that is believed to be the team's weakest link, who is eliminated. Joining hosts Cat Cora and Curtis Stone is a roster of guest judges that includes such culinary luminaries as Wolfgang Puck and Nigella Lawson. The guest judges also serve as food ambassadors, providing the contestants with insights into the local food culture at each destination.
