DESCRIPTION
Alex (Amanda Peet), a recently divorced, high-strung lawyer, moves into a smaller house in Venice, Calif., with her daughter, Charlie, and hires Pete (David Walton), a recovering gambling addict, to renovate her kitchen. Pete, a charismatic womanizer who lives with his perpetually unemployed father, knows that the remodeling job is his last chance to prove he's not a screw-up and jumpstart his life, but he is unprepared for the force that is Alex. The two surprisingly each find a match in the other and strike up an unlikely relationship.
