SHOW DESCRIPTION

Their world is not so secretive anymore, not after being the subjects of one of Britain's highest-rated documentary series ever. It was only a matter of time, then, before a U.S. network jumped at the chance to air this portrait of the Gypsy and Irish Traveller cultures in the U.K. Given rare access to this hidden and often misunderstood community, the filmmakers use the Gypsy's extravagant wedding celebrations to reveal a group of people who live alongside but free from mainstream society, guided by century-old religious and cultural traditions. But, interestingly enough, those tenants are not so rigid as to completely exclude modern pop-culture and fashion influences from taking effect.
