DESCRIPTION
In a part-competition, part-performance event, judges scour 30 U.S. cities to find the top high-school musical theater performers in the country. Sixty performers are chosen to participate in a weeklong theater experience in New York, which includes grueling rehearsals, coaching, mentoring and intense competition. The week culminates with the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as The Jimmy Awards, when judges will announce two winners, a male and a female.
