Being a mixed martial arts fighter isn't easy. It takes a lot of training and sacrifice. And although some people may think MMA fighters are just tough guys (and women) without emotional sides to them, that could not be further from the truth. This docu-series profiles four young people from small-town Louisiana who want to make it in the industry, each with a story to tell. Daniel had a seemingly perfect life that was marred several years ago when his first love was killed in a car accident. When he steps into the ring, he feels he must live up to the town's vision of him as a hero. On-again, off-again couple Wes and Red are determined to make a good life for their young son, Jaxon, even though their relationship may not last. Danger, who longs for his parents to be proud of him, has one goal: to make it as a professional fighter. But he is torn in many directions when family issues arise -- issues that he fears may cause him to lose focus on his career.
