SHOW
DESCRIPTION
With the popularity of Las Vegas-based ``Pawn Stars,'' History is expanding the franchise and heading south with ``Cajun Pawn Stars,'' set at the Silver Dollar Pawn & Jewelry Center in Alexandria, La. Jimmie ``Big Daddy'' DeRamus has owned and operated the shop with his family for more than two decades. DeRamus is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to historic collectibles, which is not surprising given that his store houses more than 100,000 artifacts. Much like the original ``Pawn Stars,'' in addition to the items that are brought into the store, the show focuses on Jimmie and his family -- younger brother Johnnie and daughter Tammie -- as they run the store as well as the experts that are brought in to help appraise the items.
