DESCRIPTION
Time to weed out the good from the bad (and the ugly) on a quest to find Canada's next singing sensation on the sixth season of ``Canadian Idol.'' Ben Mulroney returns as host of this season which, like its predecessors, opens with the sometimes funny and frequently painful audition rounds, as judges Farley Flex, Jake Gold, Sass Jordan and Zack Werner decide who advances to the next round and who goes home. Singer Jully Black joins the crew as mentor and coach to the performers. In past seasons, the top 22 contestants have advanced to the semifinals. This season, that number is upped to 24. Ten singers still make it to the finals and, of course, only one singer is crowned as the next Canadian Idol.
