``Casshern Sins,'' a reboot of the classic 1970s anime series ``Casshern,'' is set in a world where robots have taken humanity under their control after the machines became self-aware. A mysterious girl, Luna, is summoned by the people to try to bring salvation back to mankind. She is hunted down by three cyborg warriors and killed by one of them, Casshern. That killing sets in motion the end of the world. Hundreds of years later, with the atmosphere filled with poison and the inability of most of the remaining people to reproduce, humanity is on the brink of extinction. Casshern, who had disappeared after Luna's assassination, returns with no memory of who he is and thus embarks on a journey to find out the truth about himself.
