DESCRIPTION
Known for her books and lectures about her famous grandfather, Celia Sandys began leading trips retracing his travels through the world, allowing people who loved to travel and were fascinated by the life of Winston Churchill to indulge both passions at once. For those who haven't the means or time to trek around the globe on one of her tours, Sandys offers this three-part PBS series, taking viewers to some of her grandfather's favorite spots, including France, Cuba, South Africa, the United States, Egypt and Morocco. While Sandys accompanied Churchill on some of his later jaunts, these later trips allow her to share her insights on the man she knew.
