DESCRIPTION
Executive producer Thom Beers (``Deadliest Catch,'' ``Ice Road Truckers'') is behind this hourlong docu-reality series, which gets to the core of a cobalt coal mining operation in West Virginia. It's told through the eyes of Cobalt Coal part-owners Mike Crowder and Tom Roberts, who oversee a crew of more than 40 machine operators, foreman, electricians and truck drivers, who work more than 600 feet into the bottom of the Appalachian mountains.
