In the third season of this competition series, 11 special-effects makeup artists do battle in weekly challenges in hopes of winning the grand prize, which includes $100,000 and the chance to become a guest lecturer at schools in New York and Paris. Challenges include creating characters based on the works of Dr. Seuss and a scene from the original ``Star Wars.'' Ve Neill and Glenn Hetrick return as judges, with Neville Page joining the judges' table this season. Guest judges include producer Brian Grazer, filmmaker Kevin Smith and actor Sean Astin. Among this season's contestants are fraternal twin brothers Derek and Eric, competitive sci-fi nerd Laura and former chef Tommy. Actress McKenzie Westmore returns as host.
