DESCRIPTION
In a three-part series, journalist Mishal Husain traces the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. In part one, Husain delves into Gandhi's early years in India to the end of his career in South Africa, along the way discovering how London played a big role in the development of the Indian messiah. The second part details Gandhi's rise from obscure lawyer to father of a nation, and in the final episode Husain explores the dramatic last years of Gandhi's life, which ended in 1948 when he was assassinated.
