Choirmaster Gareth Malone treks across East Sussex in England to find 50 teenagers willing and able to let their voices be heard. This three-part BBC documentary charts the ups and downs of his mission, with the ultimate goal being to transform the teens into a chorus for a performance on the main stage of the Glyndebourne opera house. Over two months 450 teens audition, the final 50 are chosen, and then the demands of learning a two-hour opera in six months' time begin.
