DESCRIPTION
Vancouver's downtown east side is a downtrodden community known as ``Canada's poorest postal code.'' In an effort to make a positive impact on the area, restaurateur Mark Brand and his wife, Nico, take on the daunting task of resurrecting the local butcher shop and icon known as Save-On-Meats. Their ultimate goal is to bring to life all four floors of the historic building and make it more than just a butcher shop. If realized, the plan will create local jobs and provide the citizens with several new businesses to jump-start the economy and revitalize the community.
