There's plenty of drama at the Gatsby Salon in New Jersey, where big hair, big nails, and a constant tan are de rigueur. The high-end salon has recently undergone a complete makeover of its own and is now as state-of-the-art as it can be. Owner Gayle and daughter Christy are feeling the pressure to make the shop a success -- and the ongoing drama among the staff is just one more stressor. Stylist Anthony, who owns his own salon but works at the Gatsby while it's being revamped, is unfazed by the female drama surrounding him there. Alexa, who has a sideline business doing makeup for brides on the weekends, has dreams of her own and very definite feelings about what constitutes Jersey style. And Gigi, who dreams of a husband and family, is working on reconciling with the love of her life while styling hair at the salon.
