Melissa Rycroft is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader who first gained fame as a contestant on the ABC reality show ``The Bachelor,'' on which she accepted the proposal of Jason Mesnick, only to have him break up with her within weeks of the show ending. Following that experience, she reconnected with hometown boyfriend Tye Strickland, who she married in 2009. Rycroft's exposure on ``The Bachelor'' led to her appearing on ``Dancing With the Stars'' and then a TV career, reporting for shows such as ``Good Morning America'' and ``Entertainment Tonight.'' This series follows Rycroft and Strickland and their long-distance relationship, as she moves to Los Angeles to further pursue her entertainment career while he remains in their Texas hometown. The show also documents the couple's trials and tribulations of being new parents (to daughter Ava, born in February 2011).
