Season three ``Design Star'' champion Jennifer Bertrand uses her signature wizardry with paint and her girl-next-door charm to help brighten the lives of people in transition. In each half-hour episode, the Kansas-based designer and artist makes over two rooms for a person or family who is facing a turning point. Whether it be a new mom, a newly single mother or perhaps a couple facing an empty nest, Bertrand lightens the load by priming out the old and painting in the new.
