DESCRIPTION
The pawn business isn't inhabited by men only, at least not in Chicago. Just outside that city is the only pawn shop that caters to women, the first of its kind in the U.S. Naperville Jewelry & Loan is a family-oriented boutique that specializes in classic jewelry, desirable fashion items, vintage Barbie dolls and unique antiques. While their business partners, Greg and Tom, also work at the shop, it's Minda and Nikki who make the operation hum despite personalities that sometimes clash. Minda strictly watches the bottom line and considers herself ``frugal, not cheap,'' whereas Nikki is more carefree and is constantly pushing the envelope on buying high-end fashion and jewelry.
