A season after bitter rivals attempted to put the past to bed for the good of their team, former lovers are reunited to compete for a chance at cash prizes totaling $300,000 in this series' 22nd edition. Back together in the Dominic Republic, the 13 pairs of exes -- who originally met on MTV's ``The Real World'' or ``The Challenge'' -- must form a working partnership without the emotions of painful grudges and broken hearts leading to elimination. That is determined each episode in the dreaded ``Dome,'' where the losing team in a strength or stamina challenge battles it out against another pair chosen by the Power Couple (that episode's best-performing team). The winners stay, the losers depart, until only one couple is crowned the ``Battle of the Exes'' champions.
