DESCRIPTION
Despite stirring up controversy in his previous Golden Globe hosting gigs, actor and comedian Ricky Gervais returns to preside, for the third straight year, over the awards ceremony that honors people for their achievements in both film and television. Actor Morgan Freeman -- whose film credits include ``Driving Miss Daisy,'' ``The Shawshank Redemption'' and ``Se7en'' -- is this year's recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award, a de facto lifetime achievement award that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association awards each year to an entertainment industry luminary for ``outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.''
