DESCRIPTION
After recently moving from America to Glasgow, Scotland, Clare Pettengill starts a book group in order to find new friends with similar interests. But she is surprised by the people she encounters at the group. Among the people she meets are a drug-addled postgraduate student, a disabled man who wants to be a writer, the frustrated wife of a Scottish footballer and an eccentric student, to whom Clare finds herself attracted. Although this is an eclectic group, the book club members do have something in common -- they are all lonely and looking for new friends.
