SHOW DESCRIPTION

Amateur chefs share a deluxe carriage house while being put through a series of challenges to determine who is best qualified to become the next on-camera Food Network personality (or star, as the title suggests). Along the way, these finalists are mentored and evaluated by current Food Network stars. The judging panel -- consisting of Food Network executives Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson -- eliminate contestants each week, but viewers vote on the ultimate winner, who earns his or her own show on Food Network. Marc Summers hosts.
