DESCRIPTION
In this three-part miniseries, journalist Trevor McDonald travels across the Caribbean and discovers how each region is shaped and defined by money. Some of the areas, such as Barbados and the Bahamas, are inhabited or owned by extremely wealthy people, and contain expensive resorts, such as Musha Cray, where a week's stay costs $350,000. At the other end of the spectrum is Jamaica, where poverty-stricken areas are run by drug-dealing gangs and patrolled by men carrying sub-machine guns. McDonald also visits regions that are defined by more natural elements, such as the volcanic eruptions in Monserrat and sightings of giant sea turtles in Grenada.
