DESCRIPTION
What would happen if women weren't around and men were forced to do everything -- running the households, businesses and community -- on their own? That's the question ``The Week the Women Went'' tries to answer. The centerpiece of the show is a social experiment in which all of the women leave the town of Yemassee, S.C., for a week and head to an isolated site. With the women gone, the men are left to handle all of the responsibilities, from caring for the kids to maintaining the household. During the experiment, the town's men and women learn about themselves and their roles in the home and community -- as close friendships are tested, old rivalries renewed, and secrets exposed.
