``Top Chef'' judge Gail Simmons pulls double duty, hosting the latest spinoff, ``Top Chef: Just Desserts.'' This newest entry in the ``Top Chef'' franchise pits pastry chefs against one another, facing two challenges in each episode. The first, a Quickfire test, gives contestants a chance to show off their skills. The second, the Elimination Challenge, is a longer, more complicated affair that gives contestants the opportunity to be inventive and creative as they work with exotic ingredients or cater to especially demanding clients.
