SHOW DESCRIPTION

This series, the second in the ``Underbelly'' franchise, is loosely based on the underworld drug war in Australia between 1976 and 1986. It follows an unlikely pair, ``Aussie'' Bob Trimbole and Kiwi charmer Terry Clark, who mastermind a large-scale importation and distribution of heroin into Australia, mainly New South Wales and Victoria, changing the face of organized crime in the country forever. Their ring benefits from a network of corrupt police and judges, who help them get away with murder, literally, in disposing of politicians and anti-drug advocates. It's smooth sailing, all right ... until loose lips eventually threaten the business, and the walls start closing in.
