DESCRIPTION
Over the course of eight weeks, director, dancer and performance coach Sarina Condello transforms a group of amateur theater enthusiasts into a united, musical cast fit to perform ``The Wizard of Oz'' in front of an audience consisting of 1,100 people. ``Way Off Broadway'' follows the behind-the-scenes turmoil of the cast as they undergo the rituals and exhausting rehearsals that take them from novices to full-fledged theater actors. The proceeds from the ticket sales of the one and only performance raise $25,000 for Sarina's charity, The Big Little Caravan of Joy.
