SHOW DESCRIPTION

Animal Planet teams up with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society to present this seafaring chronicle of activists dedicated to interfering with Japanese whaling expeditions. The Sea Shepherds are led by Captain Paul Watson, who, in 1977, founded the nonprofit organization to protect marine wildlife and their habitats worldwide. The Japanese say that their whaling is legally accepted research, but the Sea Shepherds say it is just a cover for illegal commercial whaling. The show's theme song is composed by Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan.
