It almost seems like the world is out to get 15-year-old Carl Montclaire -- wherever he goes, disaster always follows. Whether he's getting pummeled in dodge ball or setting off security alarms as he enters a store, he just can't seem to catch a break. Enter Porter, an angel in training who's been assigned to help Carl and make him into the most popular kid in school. Success would earn Porter his wings. But Porter has his work cut out for him. Despite his seemingly never-ending spate of bad luck, Carl is perfectly content to try to figure things out on his own, and he doesn't want Porter to interfere.
