SHOW DESCRIPTION

Single mom Carli Mitchell, who comes from a rough background, wants to give her kids a better life. So she moves her family to an upscale suburb but quickly discovers that transitioning into ``the good life'' will not be as easy as she anticipated. Carli is befriended by her cranky, misanthropic neighbor (Ed Asner) and gets a job working in the deli of the local grocery store -- where she falls for her boss, who already has a girlfriend. Carli's ladies-man brother, Nick, helps her out as she faces the obstacles of parenting, dating and making friends in her new community.
