Trying to Seduce a Vegan on '100 Questions' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 1st 2010 11:35PM
Lying is an important part of starting any new relationship. No, wait -- scratch that. Lying is a terrible thing that you should never do to anyone. Or ... which is it? Our heroes on '100 Questions' (Thu., 8:30PM ET on NBC) have to figure out this dilemma.[Spoiler alert.]
On the new episode, Charlotte (Sophie Winkleman) becomes infatuated with a young man who happens to be a vegan. Unfortunately, part of her seduction ritual involves lying and pretending that she is also a vegan. This works out well -- until she invites the man over to her place for some sex. At which point, he discovers the leather headboard in her bedroom. ... As well as her leather purse, and her leather boots.
Charlotte Gets Caught Short on '100 Questions' (VIDEO)

He's the kind of a date you just want to smack around a little: Overcompensating, smug, rude, smarmy and generally out of touch with reality. On Thursday's episode of '100 Questions' (Thu., 8:30PM ET on NBC), Rider Strong guest stars as Charlotte's date -- who has a complex about being short ("Tom Cruise is only 4-foot-12," he says. "And musical superstar Prince -- technically a dwarf"). But that's not his only problem. He loves to put his foot in his mouth.
"I've never done it with an Irish chick before," he says to Charlotte (Sophie Winkleman), who happens to be English. "Good luck with that," she replies. And then he's off to squeeze his lemon in the bathroom.
There ought to be a lemon-law for dates.
A Very Scary Tattoo on '100 Questions' (VIDEO)

Tattoos! They might never be a good idea. But they're really not a good idea if you get one to express love for a girl that you've just met. That's the lesson learned on '100 Questions' (Thu., 8:30 PM on NBC).[Spoiler alert.]

Charlotte (Sophie Winkleman) is looking for love in the big city. But of course, you can't look for love in the big city without encountering a few roadblocks along the way -- not if you're on a dating sitcom, at least.[Spoiler alert.]
Pickup Lines on the Premiere of '100 Questions' (VIDEO)

On the new sitcom '100 Questions' (Thu., 8:30PM ET on NBC), a group of friends try to find love while hanging out in the big city. Hmm. That description sounds oddly familiar. It's almost as though we've seen this type of show before or something.[Spoiler alert.]
May Sweeps Bring Summer TV Blues
by Stephanie Earp, posted May 5th 2010 11:16AM
Welcome to the month of May, which songs and poems tells us is primarily responsible for bringing forth darling buds and spring flowers. Not a single epigram or aphorism mentions May Sweeps, when May pulls the curtain on the TV season that was, bringing many good things -- and plenty of crap things -- to an end.
Over the next 30 days or so, over 60 shows will say goodbye and leave the airwaves for an extended summer vacation, while others are saying a permanent goodbye. Once they go, TV will leave us with nothing but a smattering of viewing options. Faced with such a dearth -- especially once the hockey post-season is over -- my upstairs neighbors usually cancel their satellite subscription for the summer. Ay yai yai! This is crazy talk! I happen to share that satellite subscription with them and I now have to convince them that it's worth continuing to split the bill for the delight of a few summer series.
But look at what I have to work with:
ABC, NBC Announce Summer Premiere Dates
by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 5th 2010 11:45AM
ABC has released the schedule for its sugary summer fare -- 'The Bachelorette,' 'True Beauty' and 'Wipeout' -- while NBC announced premiere dates for its own summer stand-bys: 'America's Got Talent' and 'Last Comic Standing.' Ali Fedotowsky, the one-time frontrunner on the last 'Bachelor,' will now have the upper hand on finding love on 'The Bachelorette,' which premieres at 9PM ET on Mon., May 24 after the final performance show of 'Dancing with the Stars.' (More on the 'Bachelorette' announcement here.) On May 31, the program will move to 8PM and again serve as lead-in to 'True Beauty,' which kicks off at 10PM ET.
Sneak Peek: NBC's 100 Questions
by Bob Sassone, posted May 8th 2009 6:27PM
I know the title sounds like another one of those NBC game shows with the suspenseful lighting and annoying commercial breaks, but it's actually a comedy. It stars Sophie Winkelman as a woman looking for love who decides to join an online dating service and has to answer their massive 100 question survey. An odd premise, but the pilot is directed by James Burrows, so I'm in. Here's a preview (also here).
NBC announces four new dramas, two new comedies to fall lineup
by Jason Hughes, posted May 4th 2009 12:22PM
There weren't a lot of surprises at NBC's "In Front" presentation this morning. As already leaked, Parks & Recreation, Heroes, and Southland have been renewed, joining the already announced 30 Rock, The Office, The Celebrity Apprentice, Friday Night Lights, The Biggest Loser and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. There's still no word on Law & Order's bid for a 20th season, nor did they clarify the fate of Chuck, though insiders feel confident both will be back. Back on the bubble is Medium, which was leaked as renewed last night, along with My Name Is Earl. Their fates are a bit more murky, especially Earl considering NBC is giving Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" a prime-time berth, apparently launching NBC's Thursday night.
