Michael Seater is fresh off a whirlwind tour promoting the debut of his new show on CBC, '18 to Life'. It's a very different role for the 'Life With Derek' star – he and 'Degrassi' alum Stacey Farber play very young newlyweds who are living with his parents. The inter-generational comedy explores the situation from the couple's perspective, as well as the parents'.

AOL TV caught up with Seater, 23, to chat about the intense workout regime he and Farber had to endure before shooting began, how he stays in touch with fans and the unexpected birthday tweet he received from his favourite author, Paulo Coelho.
