by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 13th 2011 11:15AM
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have named their unborn child Jubilee Shalom Duggar. The family learned of the miscarriage after a routine doctor's visit.According to the Hollywood Reporter, the '19 Kids and Counting' family will hold a private memorial service for Jubilee, who would've been the couple's 20th child.
"Earlier today at a routine doctor's appointment, Michelle and I received the sad news that we lost the baby," Jim Bob Duggar said in a statement on Dec. 8. "Michelle is resting comfortably at home with the support of the entire family. We are grateful for all the thoughts and prayers, but ask for privacy during this difficult time."
Michelle Duggar Miscarries 20th Child

Michelle Duggar, the matriarch of the popular Duggar brood featured on TLC's '19 Kids and Counting,' has miscarried. According to People, Duggar recently had a routine check-up and the doctor could not find her 20th child's heartbeat. The 45-year-old reality star was in her second trimester.
"After the appointment, we came back home and told the children," Duggar told People. "We had just been talking about baby names last night and they were getting excited about naming a boy or a girl. It has been a real sad disappointment."
The Duggar Kids Discover the Bidet in England on '19 Kids and Counting' (VIDEO)

Traveling to a new country can lead to all different kinds of culture shock. One of the things that the littlest kids noticed right away when the Duggars traveled to England on '19 Kids and Counting' (Sun., 8PM ET on TLC) was the bidet. They, of course, didn't know what it is or what it was for. One of the children came closest when she proudly declared that it was a sink.
The older members of the family weren't quite sure what to do as they certainly didn't want the kids playing in this new "sink," nor did they seem keen to explain to them exactly what a bidet is and what it's used for.
Jim Bob Dons a Kilt With the Family in Scotland on '19 Kids and Counting' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 15th 2011 12:00AM
The Duggars got to experience a little bit of Scottish culture when the latest installment of '19 Kids and Counting' (Sunday, 8PM ET on TLC) -- soon to be known as '20 Kids and Counting' as the Duggars recently announced on 'Today' that Michelle is expecting again -- saw the entire clan fly off to Scotland.Their clan was so impressive that the organizers of the festival they were at redubbed them the MacDuggan clan. And while everyone embraced the fellowship and fun of the day, Jim Bob was a little reluctant to fully get into the spirit. They got him into a kilt, but the get-up looked rather silly with the ends of his jeans sticking out of the bottom.
Michelle Duggar Defends Her Decision to Have Another Baby
by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 9th 2011 8:55AM
Yesterday Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar announced on live television that they are expecting their 20th child together. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this has provoked criticism of the couple's lifestyle choices and their decision to proceed with such a potentially high-risk pregnancy given their already large family. So why can't the couple stop having babies? The Internet rumor mill's been working overtime, and theories being bandied about include: Is Michelle addicted to being pregnant? Do they procreate to get attention? Are they making too much money from their reality show to give it up? Or, are they, as Michelle told Ann Curry yesterday, just staying true to their motto of "There's always room for one more?"
Now Michelle -- who has suffered twice from pre-eclampsia -- defended her decision to have another child, telling 'People' that if the prospect of potentially life-threatening prenatal complications were going to deter her, then "we would have stopped back with our second birth. ... There are many women who have experienced pre-eclampsia and have gone on to have more children."
The Duggars Are Expecting Baby Number 20 (VIDEO)

Not even the threat of pre-eclampsia or premature birth can slow down Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar in their quest to expand their already huge family: They announced this morning on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) that they are expecting their 20th child together.Telling Ann Curry that she's three and a half months pregnant, 45 year-old Michelle said "We're due in April and we're just thrilled!" Ever the joker, Jim Bob quipped "We don't know how it happened!" Michelle added, "We are so excited. I was not thinking that God would give us another one, and we are just so grateful." The couple had hinted last night on their blog that they'd be making a "special announcement" this morning, but many assumed it would be about another grandchild.
When Curry asked the question that most of us are thinking -- WHY?! -- Michelle said they live by the motto "There's always room for one more." Plus, as Jim Bob says, one kid just moved out to start his own family so there was space available in Casa Duggar.
