Jon Stewart on a Weird Republican Theme -- Victory as 'Disaster' (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart on a Weird Republican Theme -- Victory as 'Disaster'Last night, the Republican Party swept back into power, reclaiming at least 60 seats in the House of Representatives. It was one of the most radical political transformations in seven decades. But Jon Stewart saw something weird about the Fox News coverage of the election.

On 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), Stewart watched as Fox covered the event. Oddly enough, many Fox News pundits -- including Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin -- used the same metaphor for the victory. The GOP triumph was described as a "tidal wave," an "earthquake" and a "tsunami."

Mike Huckabee compared the win to one of the more powerful natural disasters in American history: a 19th century earthquake which sent shockwaves across half the country, causing the Mississippi River to run backwards. Jon pointed out a common theme here: "You do realize all your metaphors for Republican victory ... killed thousands of people."

Tina Fey Returns as 'Sarah Palin' on 'Late Show'Tina Fey hasn't been paying attention to politics lately. In fact, David Letterman had to tell her about the 2010 election, and what the Republicans have been up to: "Last night, they sent America 'a message,'" he said with a rueful grin.

Ms. Fey is so out of the political "loop" that she can't recall how to do her famous "Sarah Palin" impression. But she gave it a shot on 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). At Dave's request, she did her version of Sarah Palin -- after pointing out that Palin is going to be hard to live with, following the recent Republican success.

Here is Tina doing "Sarah" -- and commenting on the 2010 GOP comeback, partially led by Palin's "mama grizzly" Tea Party candidates: "All her 'mama grizzlies' are winnin' and they're ... goin' ta Washington, and they're gonna flip your pic-a-nik table, Dave! ... You're gonna hafta tie your food to a tree!"

Stephen Colbert Hates Voter Fraud -- Unless He's the One Causing It (VIDEO)

Stephen Colbert Hates Voter Fraud -- Unless He's the One Causing ItWell, the election of 2010 is over. But that doesn't mean that Stephen Colbert can't still tamper with it. (If you wake up tomorrow and every single senator in America is suddenly named "Stephen Colbert," that's probably what has happened.)

On 'The Colbert Report' (weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), the host tackles the issue of voter fraud. And by "tackles," we mean "causes." Colbert isn't above committing some minor fraud ... as long as it's for the greater good. Or -- you know -- Stephen is flexible about these things. Maybe he'll just do it for no reason whatsoever.
