Stay tuned for a list of our faves from Food Network. Add to the comments below to nominate your picks.]The Food Network has become an essential portal into the world of cooking. The network enjoys top ratings and is continually adding diverse cooking talents which entertain a range of food interests, tastes and techniques.
All of the Food Network shows bring something unique and interesting to the viewer. I picked the 10 best Food Network shows based on the chef's personality, and whether we learned new cooking techniques or recipes. If you love food and cooking, you will not be disappointed.
10. 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives'
Guy Fieri won season 2 of 'Next Food Network Star' and now has three shows on the network. In 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,' Guy travels across America finding the most unique foods at road side shacks, sports bars, greasy spoons and shares the cooking secrets that make each spot irresistible and different from the last.
A disturbing collection of Rachael Ray's Mmmmmms
by Joel Keller, posted Mar 26th 2007 1:40PM
Before Rachael Ray was all over the planet and the known universe, I used to watch her on the Food Network's $40 a Day. On that show, Ray Ray would visit a different city and see if she could eat three great meals with only forty bucks in hand. As you'd expect, she succeeded (let's just say she wasn't the most generous tipper), but that wasn't the most interesting part of the program. What was most interesting was the disturbingly orgasmic reactions RR had to the food she was eating at each restaurant. The reaction was exactly the same, no matter what she was eating: eyes closed, she'd moan "Mmmmmmm" for the exact same length of time, open and roll her eyes back into her head, then smile. Cute the first time, it felt pretty creepy after the first dozen or so episodes.
