'Warehouse 13' Star Saul Rubinek on Season 3, Guest Stars and Why It's the Best Show Out There
by Annette Bourdeau, posted Aug 30th 2011 9:15AM
It's not easy to find a show the whole family can enjoy together these days, but SyFy's 'Warehouse 13' (which airs on Showcase in Canada) boasts a cross-generational appeal that has something for everyone. That's probably why the unique show has cultivated such a large and devoted following. The show follows the Secret Service personnel tasked with working at Warehouse 13, which is home to every bizarre (and potentially dangerous) artifact the U.S. government has ever collected. In Season 3, newcomer Aaron Ashmore joins the cast as the warehouse's latest recruit.
We caught up with Saul Rubinek ('Frasier, 'Unforgiven'), who plays warehouse caretaker Artie Nielsen, to pry as many details about Season 3 out of him as possible. It was not an easy task. Like his character Artie, Rubinek is skilled at guarding secrets.
Get Your Geek On: 'Fanboy Confessional' Outs Fandom in All its Forms
by Aaron Broverman, posted Jul 12th 2011 3:01PM

As a comic book collector for 16 years and an attendee of nearly every comic convention in my city, I thought I had the fandom thing nailed down. Then I watched 'Fanboy Confessional' and realized I still had a lot to learn.
Narrated by Aaron Ashmore ('Smallville's Jimmy Olsen), the six-part Canadian documentary series goes deep into the subterrane of geekdom to expose the lesser-known subsets of fandom. Turns out just being a comic book geek isn't enough anymore. Now, the real hardcore fans aren't satisfied unless you're a cosplayer, LARPer, zombie walker, furry, steampunk or real-life superhero. Confused? That's why we asked reformed fanboy and show creator Michael McNamara to walk us through each group he investigated in the series.

'Life Unexpected' star Britt Robertson is staying in The CW family as a lead on the network's new pilot, 'Secret Circle.'According to Entertainment Weekly, Robertson's casting in the drama series is in second position, behind 'Life Unexpected,' though it's not specified what part she'll play. The CW has not officially made a final decision on the fate of 'Life Unexpected,' but with a "complete series" DVD set being released soon, all signs point to its cancellation.
'Secret Circle' is based on L.J. Smith's novels about a young woman who moves to a new town and finds out she's a witch. Not only is she a witch, but she's part of a secret coven and is the key to the battle between good and evil.

Allison Mack will be in Smallville next season after all
by Isabelle Carreau, posted May 15th 2008 10:43AM
Smallville fans, you can finally resume breathing. The last few weeks have been a roller coaster due to the fact the two creators left the show, because of the departure of Michael Rosenbaum and the announcement that two new regulars would join and because of contract negotiations for Kristin Kreuk and Allison Mack.It was confirmed pretty early on that Kreuk would only be a part-timer next season. However, Mack's future with the show was up in the air. Actually, it was even talked that she would not be returning because she couldn't reach an agreement with The CW show. The latter news was supported by the fact her name was omitted earlier this week in the network's Upfront press release.
