Today on TV Squad Daily:
- It's "turn off your TV week." Whew! Good thing I'm here to keep you posted on things like this breaking news: Adam Brody wants to grow facial hair!
- Also, it's American Idol's week to give back (and also take like never before but let's not focus on that.)
- Who will the huge mystery duet singers be on American Idol's results show this week?
When co-stars hook up (then break up)
by Kelly Woo, posted Jan 24th 2007 4:23PM
Anne Heche sure loves 'em and leaves 'em. ET is reporting the Men in Trees star has left husband Coley Laffoon (with whom she has a son) for co-star James Tupper. Heche and Tupper's characters are romantically involved on the show.
But here's the problem with co-stars hooking up: they often eventually break up. And when they do, it sure causes havoc with TV storylines.
The O.C. will be online ahead of premiere date
by Anna Johns, posted Oct 24th 2006 1:39PM
The season premiere of The O.C. will debut online one week before its premiere date on Fox. The entire episode will be available for early viewing on MySpace and MyFoxLocal websites in 24 owned and operated television markets beginning this Thursday. It premieres on the network on Thursday, November 2nd. The second episode will also debut online before it airs on the Fox network. The O.C. is the latest in a long line of Fox shows that debuted online this season, including Prison Break, Justice, Vanished, 'Til Death, Bones, Happy Hour and The Loop. Of all those, The O.C. probably has the most to gain from early internet exposure. So far, Fox has only ordered half a season and, in its new 9 o'clock time slot, The O.C. is going up against heavy-hitters Grey's Anatomy and CSI. Even Howie Mandel looks like a threat at this point.
The O.C.: The Cliffhanger
by Lacy Hall, posted Feb 3rd 2006 1:21PM
If it wasn't for the last five
minutes, this episode would have been a dud. I wouldn't even say the last five minutes, I'd say the last 30 seconds. So
let's not waste any time, let's get right to it. (I'll save the big news for after the break.)Adam Brody's new project really bites
by Anna Johns, posted Dec 30th 2005 11:34AM
Adam Brody, also known as Seth Cohen on The O.C., is going behind-the-scenes for his next project. He's
developing a show for NBC about modern-day LAPD cops who hunt for vampires. Brody is executive producing the project,
which already has a script commitment from NBC. There's no title yet for the program, which centers around a rookie cop
who joins the vampire-hunting squad. There aren't a whole lot of details about the project and whether it's supposed to
be funny, scary, or dramatic (or all three). It's probably a good idea for all the actors on The O.C. to start
looking for other projects since the end of this season marks their graduation from high school, which is usually the
beginning of the end for shows like these.Adam is also producing a remake of Revenge of the Nerds for FOX Searchlight. Who do you think they will get to play Booger?
