Gwyneth and Mario sued over food/travel book

by Allison Waldman, posted Jun 5th 2008 3:23PM
mario/gwynethBook? What book? That would seem to be the bone of contention, if you will. Ben Karlin, former headwriter for The Daily Show, has filed a lawsuit against TV chef Mario Batali and actress Gwyneth Paltrow claiming they did not pay him for work he did for a book on which they were collaborating. Stephen Colbert's sweet book deal

by Annie Wu, posted Mar 21st 2006 7:07PM
Stephen ColbertStephen Colbert's The Colbert Report is going extremely well and now, following in the footsteps of Bill "Papa Bear" O'Reilly and Jon Stewart (plus his team of Daily Show writers), Colbert will publish his thoughts in book-form so everyone can finally see Dickens isn't so hot after all. Mr. Colbert has signed a deal with Warner Books to pen a book under his cocky, know-it-all Colbert Report persona. The deal is speculated to be in the seven-figure range (ooh). He has previously contributed to books such as America (The Book) but expects to fly solo with this upcoming project.

I'm sure he will find success in this new venture, but I guarantee he will reach absolute literary super stardom (and possibly gain even a Pulitzer or two) once he gets around to publishing Stephen Colbert’s Alpha Squad 7: Lady Nocturne: A Tek Jansen Adventure.
