Anderson Cooper Not Sure He Should Have Spray-Tanned With Snooki (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 8th 2011 7:00AM
Anderson Cooper, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'Anderson Cooper was trying to have a serious discussion about the benefits he's discovered in doing a daytime talk show when Jimmy Fallon had to go and mess it all up on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC). Cooper was talking about how he could do stories that "really resonate in people's lives."

"Yeah, like going tanning with Snooki," Fallon countered.

Cooper admitted that he wasn't sure he should do it, and still isn't sure he should have done it. But he did say that spray tanning does more than just darken your skin. "they actually spray on muscles on people," he said.

Anderson Cooper on GOP Debate: Personal Attacks 'Caught Us by Surprise' (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 27th 2011 6:30PM
Anderson Cooper was the moderator, in name anyway, of the most recent Republican Debate, which got contentious and personal as Rick Perry took numerous shots at front-runner Mitt Romney. Cooper went on 'Good Day LA,' (weekdays, 7AM PT on Fox) and explained how the debate went from his perspective.

"It caught a lot of us by surprise, just the personal nature of some of the attacks," he said. "They're not children, it's not my job to jump in and say, 'Don't do the strategy that you want to do," he continued, perhaps pushing back on the criticism that he should have done more to step in-between some of the jabs being thrown.

Anderson Cooper Daytime Show Accident Leaves Teenager in Coma

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 1st 2011 2:55PM
The early weeks of Anderson Cooper's daytime show saw him getting a spray-tan with Snooki, but things have turned far more serious after a young person involved in an upcoming episode was badly injured.

Gawker is reporting
that a teenager who was booked to appear on 'Anderson' is in a coma after sustaining a serious head injury in a skateboarding accident. A producer for the show had allegedly encouraged him "go out and film the crazy stuff that you do."

Cooper's reps have released a statement addressing the incident: "Our producers were working with a teen and his parents on a show about the science of the Teenage Brain, based on a National Geographic story. As part of our routine process, we ask guests for video footage and photos. We did not provide the family with a camera. On the morning that they were supposed to travel to NYC, we learned that the teen had been injured. We are very concerned about him, and are thinking of him and his family at this time."

Anderson Cooper Goes Spray-Tanning With Snooki (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 14th 2011 2:15PM
Anderson Cooper's daytime talk-show 'Anderson' is off to a fabulous start. We've already seen him uncomfortably spend the weekend with Kathy Griffin, who got naked once every fifteen minutes or so. Now he's gone spray-tanning with Snooki.

Their tanning date didn't get off to a great start, as the 'Jersey Shore' star decided to get her teeth whitened, making Cooper wait for twenty minutes. But after she was done, she escorted him to the tanning room, where she was impressed by his muscles. "I had no idea that Mr. Anderson had muscles. When he took off his shift, he had huge, like, peanut muscles ... cool!" she said.

After he had some fake ab-lines painted on, she said he'd look like Ronnie, a great look for a dignified newsman. Check out the clip after the jump.

Kathy Griffin Gets Naked -- Often -- At Anderson Cooper's House (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2011 2:00AM
Kathy Griffin, 'Anderson'Anderson Cooper invited Kathy Griffin to stay at his house, and while he may have been surprised by a lot of what went down, we certainly weren't. He had Griffin on his new show, 'Anderson' (Weekdays, Syndicated), where he showed some of the footage. It was almost 'Too Hot for TV!'

To make matters worse, the first night Griffin was in his house, she was there alone. That freed her up to send pictures of herself in various states of undress, draped all over his house. Clearly she was making herself more than comfortable in his house.

She then crawled into bed to continue making him uncomfortable, asking him if he wanted to touch her, and even revealing that she's wearing his underwear. But nowhere turned out to be safe from her shenanigans.

Struggling to control her emotions, Amy's mom Janis comforted her ex-husband Mitch as he covered his face with a handkerchief and wept while Cooper played a clip of Amy singing 'To Know Him is to Love Him.'

What to Watch: TV Picks for September 12 - 18

by Stephanie Earp, posted Sep 12th 2011 9:00PM
Survivor: South Pacific - Wednesday September 14, 8PM ET/PT, CBS/Global

'Survivor' returns, looking a lot like last season. The Redemption Island twist is back, as are two previous castaways, Coach and Ozzy. Which is a far cry from Rob and Russell, but I can see why the producers would be eager to reproduce the experiment that led to such an interesting game last time. Another round of Coach wisdom is just about the last thing I was hoping for but I imagine he'll get himself voted off pretty quick. The other thing that hasn't changed -- the prize is still a million dollars. It makes you wonder when they're gonna get a cost-of-living or inflation raise on this show.

Anderson Cooper on 'Good Day LA' When Anderson Cooper's new show 'Anderson,' premiered Monday, his fans wanted to know about another show, 'Dancing With the Stars.' Cooper went on 'Good Day LA' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) to say he doesn't see 'DWTS' in his future and to tout his upcoming interview with Gerard Depardieu.

Referencing his Depardieu-induced giggle fit, Cooper was asked by an audience member, "we have seen you giggle, when will we see you wiggle?"

"I like to dance," he said. "I enjoy the dancing. But I just sort of feel, does anyone really want a middle-aged, gray-haired guy ..." That's when his crowd interrupted him with cheering.

Anderson Cooper, 'The Colbert Report'By now, everyone's seen Anderson Cooper get the giggles on CNN over the story about Gerard Depardieu peeing in the aisle of an airplane. Stephen Colbert offered up Hosni Poo-barek, Camilla Parker-Bowels, Dr. Sanjay Poop-ta and even Anthony Pooper, but why leave this one to the professionals. "Celebrity Poop Names" is a game the whole family can play.

Anderson Cooper Has a Giggle Fit During Gerard Depardieu Pee Segment (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Aug 18th 2011 12:15PM
Anderson Cooper has a giggle fit.It was a wild night on CNN. First Christine O'Donnell walked off 'Piers Morgan Tonight' in the middle of an interview. Then, Anderson Cooper got a serious case of the giggles during a 'Ridiculist' segment about French actor Gerard Depardieu's public urination on an plane.

Depardieu is accused of peeing into a bottle while his flight was stuck on the tarmac; he claims he wasn't allowed to use the bathroom. In telling the story, Cooper threw out about 20 pee-puns, which he found so hilarious that he started giggling uncontrollably for about twenty seconds. "This has never actually happened to me," Cooper said, fighting through laughter.

The line in particular that seemed to trip him up was, "All I can say is, they're lucky it wasn't a Depar-two."

It's good to know even CNN isn't above some quality bathroom humor. Check out the video after the jump.

Who's Replacing Regis Philbin? Ryan Seacrest, Andy Cohen, Mark Consuelos on Short List

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jun 20th 2011 6:10AM
Regis PhilbinEver since Regis Philbin announced his impeding retirement live on-air back in January, speculation's been rife as to who will replace him on 'Live! With Regis and Kelly.'

Now one report says that the morning show's distributors, Disney-ABC Domestic Television, have narrowed the field to just three candidates.

According to 'The Wall Street Journal,' those candidates are: TV hosts Ryan Seacrest ('American Idol') and Andy Cohen ('Watch What Happens Live'), and co-host Kelly Ripa's husband, actor and TV host Mark Consuelos ('All My Children').

In contrast to the 79-year old Philbin, they're all relatively young, with Cohen the oldest at age 43. All three are veterans of hosting live TV, and both Cohen and Consuelos have filled in for Philbin recently.

The 'WSJ' reports that producers plan to reboot 'Live!' once Philbin steps down in November. So who's got the edge?

Ted Nugent 'Loves' Sarah Palin, But Wouldn't Vote for Her for President (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Jan 6th 2011 3:40PM
Appearing on 'Anderson Cooper 360' (weekdays, 10 PM ET on CNN) rocker, hunter and outspoken Tea Party supporter Ted Nugent heaped praise upon Sarah Palin, but also said she hasn't yet convinced him she has what it takes to be president.

"(Palin's) coming from the street, she's coming from the we-the-people rank-and-file, she makes sense when she talks, she says all the right things, she's sincere, she's knowledgeable , she's articulate, she's damn good-looking, plus she kills moose, how can you go wrong?" Nugent gushed.

However, when Cooper pressed Nugent on whether Palin would make a good president, Nugent balked.

"It's too early to tell. Right know, if we had a vote, I couldn't vote for Sarah Palin. And I love her. I love her madly, and I respect her."

When somebody as naturally sympathetic to Palin as The Nuge doesn't believe he can vote for her, maybe it's time we stop talking about the former half-governor of Alaska as a viable presidential candidate.

In keeping with Regis Philbin's tradition of catching passes from football players who visit 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated), guest co-host Anderson Cooper decides to catch a throw from Drew Brees, quarterback for the New Orleans Saints.

Although Cooper seems to have a bit of trepidation, and asks Brees not to hit him in the face and complains of sun in his eyes, he manages to catch the quarterback's pass without fumbling.
