If you think you know your catchphrases, then this quiz is for you!
While many think television was built on a combination of electronics and imagination, I personally feel that a good portion of it has been constructed on a fine bed of catchphrases. From the earliest mention of "How sweet it is!" by Jackie Gleason to "That's what she said" from The Office, there probably hasn't been a year that a catchphrase hasn't graced the lips of the international viewing populace.
I'm sure many of you know those catchphrases well. But, do you know when they were first used, or by whom? If you do, then AOL Television's latest trivia quiz will be right up your alley.
How would you grade this season's new and returning shows?
Now that the fall season is hitting the two-month-old mark it's probably safe enough to start grading how some of the new and returning shows are doing. Our friends over at AOL Television have done such a thing and are giving you a chance to grade the TV shows as well.
Thirty shows were chosen for their fall TV scorecard and range from long-running shows such as CSI and ER to fresh out of the box programs like Pushing Daisies and Private Practice. The highest marks go out to House, which has reinvented itself this season with a set of new doctors for Greg House to abuse; Pushing Daises, which AOL TV describes as the best new show of the season; Ugly Betty, a show that has yet to enter a sophomore slump; Reaper, one of the brighter spots for the slumping CW network; Desperate Housewives, 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights.

Guess what Halloween costumes TV characters wore in a new AOL TV quiz
In season 8 of Friends, Monica got new husband Chandler a costume. Was it a) A pink bunny; b) a soldier; or c) Superman?
If you know the answer to this, and seven other questions, you may be ready for the most recent AOL Television quiz, which tests you on what Halloween costumes some of your favorite TV characters wore. Just so you can be prepared, the quiz also asks what costume Buffy wore in the season four Halloween episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, what Star Wars character Dwight dressed up as in The Office, and what famous couple Brenda and Dylan emulated on Beverly Hills, 90210.
On the first go around I got six of the eight questions right. To test your skills click this link to begin. By the way, the costume that Chandler wore was . . . I'm not telling you. Take the quiz and guess for yourself! Bunch of lollygaggers.
Watch Katie prep for her first CBS News assignment
Would you like to see Katie Couric without her makeup? Well, courtesy of AOL Television, here is your chance.
AOL TV has exclusive video of CBS's fast-rising news personality, sans makeup, as she prepares for her first 60 Minutes segment on the first responders of September 11th. The brief video shows Katie walking into work, not being recognized without her makeup, and performing some of the voice-over for her piece on the long-running news magazine. Also featured on AOL TV's All Eyes on Katie page is a slide show presentation on how Couric's decision to leave NBC's Today show for the CBS caused a domino effect on all three major networks.
I, for one, cannot wait for Katie to anchor her first news broadcast on September 5th. Not because I want to see how she does, but to stop the barrage of Couric news that we see and hear every day.
