Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka Cheer on 'Hellcats' - TCA Report
by Laura Prudom, posted Jul 30th 2010 12:40AM
Not content with just being the small screen's Superman, Tom Welling was on hand at the CW's TCA panel to promote 'Hellcats,' the new cheerleading show he's producing with Kevin Murphy. Stars Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka were also in attendance on the panel, which was peppy as a pep squad with reporters talking all over each other to put their questions to the cast.
Some of the highlights are included below.
-- On the comparisons with 'Glee,' Murphy said "I'd never have the temerity to compete with 'Glee' in terms of razzle-dazzle. While the dancing is a huge component of the show, it exists with one foot in the world of the characters -- no-one will tune in for the awesome three minutes of dancing we'll provide without that."

Spring TV: Which Pilots Will Crash and Burn?
by Stephanie Earp, posted Mar 23rd 2010 5:32PM

There are two groups of people who get really excited about pilot season: L.A. actors hoping for a break and television writers. Being a member of the latter category, I admit to a tingly feeling creeping over me as word of the shows in development at all the big networks are starting to leak out. While most people are attributing feelings of renewal to the change in the weather, I'm happily anticipating what J.J. Abrams has in store for us this fall.
Ashley Tisdale Goes to 'Hellcats'
by Chris Harnick, posted Mar 18th 2010 4:00PM
Ashley Tisdale is making her way from the Disney Channel to regular broadcast TV for the CW's new pilot, 'Hellcats' (not to be confused with 'High School Musical's' Wildcats).According to the Hollywood Reporter, the singer-actress joins Aly Michalka in the Tom Welling-produced series, about a competitive college cheerleading team. Michalka plays Marti, a sort-of bad girl who joins the Hellcats after budget cuts and her mother's irresponsibility cause her to lose her scholarship.
Sundays with Seth: Revenge, Redemption and Roger's "Precious"
by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 22nd 2010 2:00AM

This week managed to be both boring and wonderful at the same time. In fact, 'American Dad' and 'The Cleveland Show' paralleled one another in this sense. Both had very strong lead stories featuring their respective fathers and sons, and both had rather dull back-up installments featuring the daughters.
What is it with Seth MacFarlane and female daughters? The fact that he can't find anything to do with Meg has become a running joke on 'Family Guy,' but he has the same problems with Hayley and Roberta.
Did you notice anything different about Roberta this week? Did she sound a little more like Sarah Chalke than Lecy Goranson (that's a 'Roseanne' joke for those paying attention)? That's because Nia Long, who's been the voice of Roberta thus far was replaced this episode by Reagan Gomez-Preston. I know, it's almost as shocking as when Darrin went from one Dick to another on 'Bewitched.'
America's Got Talent: Results show three

(S04E18) "The most electrifying show yet!" - Nick, about last night's performance showNick is right. Last night was electrifying, even if a few acts got X'd. It was one of the best show's we've had so far this season.
As I noted in my review of the performance episode, I expected Jeffrey Ou to lose some votes because viewers weren't able to hear him play the piano in the second part of his acts. But a few of our site visitors said they voted for him because he wasn't given a fair chance.
Will Jeffrey get another chance by moving on to the Top 20? Results coming up!

Top Tween (and Teen) TV Stars
by AOL TV Staff, posted Dec 17th 2007 12:13PM
The Jonas Brothers ... Jamie-Lynn Spears ... Miley Cyrus ... find out where they rank on our list. Once upon a time, it was possible for a TV child star to get by on an impish smile and cute catchphrase.
Today's crop of kiddie performers don't have it so easy; they need to be double or triple threats who not only head up their own shows and/or TV movies, but sing, dance, star on the big screen, sell out concerts and launch clothing lines (despite some occasional personal missteps).
Here we count down the 20 hottest faves of the teen and tween pack.
